Powers my entire house, including the HVAC
This is the kind of purchase you hope you won't need, but when you do, it does bring peace of mind. My electrician set up my main panel to allow me to power my whole house in case of outages. I had my plumber run a natural gas line that works with this generator. The same day that the plumbers finished their work, we lost power in my neighborhood and Entergy stated that it would be back in a ~6 hour timeframe. I hadn't run this generator at all at this point, but I felt that this was a good opportunity to test it out. After adding the oil and connecting the battery, I hooked it up to my panel and the natural gas. It started up and ran fine the first time. I shut off the main and enabled the 50amp breaker in my panel and the whole house came back to life. We've been having some sweltering weather, but the generator handled my HVAC compressor kicking on just fine. Very happy that I have this generator.

This was a life-saver during Hurricane Beryl deadly Texas heat power outages
This generator is a total beast. I'm soooo glad I purchased this before hurricane Beryl destroyed our power grid in Houston. I was able to power up my entire house using natural gas including AC unit (with a soft start kit) and for days without power and this thing truly lives upto it's name Champion. Make sure you do the 5 hour break-in period and change your first oil and you're all set for your outage. Yes it's expensive, but worth every penny when you are protecting your family from scorching heat or freezing cold in winter. I felt great knowing I have 3 fueling options because during a disaster, any one of these fuels can have a shortages so having tri-fuel options are a life saver. I can't praise this generator enough. Good luck!

I want to love it.
Originally received my 15000 watt generator with minor damage. Contacted Champion and after their investigation determined it was due to shipping. I contacted shipping and after they stated they weren't going to cover the damage, I re-contacted Champion and was fully expecting and willing to just buy the broken parts and fix the issue. Champion went ahead and took care of the issue and sent me a whole new generator. I wish I remembered the name of the lady that helped me, I truly think my issue was mostly resolved because of her guidance and assistance. I'm about 15 hours in using the generator for mig/flux welding and running power tools. Thing is a beast and runs everything I've had without issue. The only negative I have about the generator is the CO2 shut off is EXTREMELY sensitive. Even running the generator outside it will shut off after 1.5 to 2 hours because of the CO2 shut off. I truly want to love this thing and it would get a full 5 stars if it wasn't for the awful CO2 shut off. The idea is great but the actual mechanics of it is awful. I will never buy another machine with a CO2 safety feature.

She ran foe 90 hours after Hurricane Beryl!
She ran my whole house for seven days after losing power during Hurricane Beryl. Neighbor’s had no AC. 70 degrees in my house. 3.5 ton AC with a soft start. Gas dryer, heater. Electric washing machine, fridge, dish washer. This generator ran everything with no issues. All while hooked up to my natural gas supply. I ran a line off of my natural gas meter to the generator. This is a great backup power supply for half to a third of the price of a standby whole hose generator.

Great backup generator
Ran new generator for a total of 8hours to break in and ran great! Already have a 30 amp plug installed. Will eventually get a 50 amp placed. Generator is easy to move around.

Great quality.
So glad we bought this. Had 2 Hurricanes this past year so put to great use. Easy to run and manage. Can use either gas or propane which is convenient when supplies are hard to get after the storms. Husband just got it out to prep for upcoming hurricane season and it started right up..

Nice generator but had damage when unboxed
Nice to have one that can run my whole house on Natural Gas without refueling or using fuel stabilizer. When I ran it for the 5 hour breakin period I ran everything including the oven and central air. I do not have an electric dryer but i would bet you it would handle it. I only used 2/3 of the power of the generator for my whole house. The pictures show what parts were broke when it came. I called Champion, they sent out the plastic flywheel shroud and I was able to replace it. I would recommend also buying a trickle charger, dust cover and plumb it so you can run it on natural gas.

.
This is more a review over Champion itself, as I never got to know how well the generator ran. I used it twice to run one of my food trailers before I started having issues, this was maybe 10 months ago. I started as always by calling Champion customer support. For the next several months it was constantly back and forth, ordering and replacing parts, knowing the wiring diagram like the back of my hand, knowing all of the different safety shutoffs and how they worked. I had a very specific issue, the generator would shut off when I would plug in for 240v. It would run forever with nothing plugged in or on 120v. But I couldn't keep it running when my food trailer was plugged into into. I replaced every safety sensor, the co shutoff, AVR, over voltage protection, oil sensor, on there before I gave up and brought it to one of there approved service locations. They did the same tests that I did, checked the functionality of all of the sensors, replaced the stator, and couldn't find anything wrong with it. When I went to pick it up and test it, the same issue was present. The service technician witnessed it shutting off while hooked up to my trailer, was messing it with and trying different things, with no luck. Champion will not authorize any return/refund/replacement unless the unit goes to one of their approved service centers. I couldn't get a hold of an approved service center that could load test it at 240v in order to see what the issue is. So currently, I have a $3000 boat anchor because they won't work with me on the issue any longer, and won't take my word or the service shops word that we don't know why it isn't working. So, if yours stops working, I would say good luck getting any assistance from them about it, it doesn't seem like anyone there knows how their own equipment functions.
