Great gift
Such a great gift for anyone who loves watching insects. My son has loved them and they are so easily cared for.

Ant farm
Cool product I am currently using for my ant farm. Couple things about the design of the ant farm is there’s a lot of nooks and crannies for the ants to hide in and one to put the sand in if they are digging sometimes it’s hard to see the ants if they don’t clear the sand up against the clear glass, kind of takes away from the experience of being able to watch them dig but there are a lot of clear sections that give you observation to the ants. I do like that there are lots of spaces that allow the ant farm to breathe that is a flaw and a lot of other ant farms. But this is a great starter ant farm kit kids should get the experience they’re looking for when they use this to observe the ants.

Love it!
This has been a lot of fun for the whole family! The ants seem to like it. My only complaint is that the plug was difficult to get back in after filling with sand and it is recommended to add more water to keep the sand moist and I’m not sure how we will be able to do that with the ants in it.

Farm came fast and very well packaged! I honestly was impressed with the packaging and quality of the product. The directions are easy to follow for set up. The ants I ordered love it and started getting to work right away, so the lay out for their home must of made them happy. I really like how is set up easy to put and or food in a larger slot and for cleaning up.

Worth It!
We bought this for our almost 4 year old probably 7 months ago. We put in 50 ants, part of a walnut, part of an almond, and a cinnamon cheerio. The instructions say the ants should live about 6 weeks. We still have 20 and they still have food from what we originally put in. This is very low maintenance and only requires us to add water once a week. It sits on our kitchen counter and the adults love it as much as the kids.

You have to find your own ants
My fault I guess for not looking hard enough, but every other kit I’ve bought has had a certificate to send off for the ants, butterfly larvae, etc and it’s included in the price. My grandson called me and was so upset. We will review again after we get ants.
