Update: a few weeks after receiving this amazing device my display stopped working (backlight visible but no text or images on the screen). Cielo Support helped immediately via phone and sent me a new one after I sent over a video showing the issue and my receipt. Support is just as good as other reviewers mention, super solid. Love this thing and the company stands behind it! Works amazingly with Mitsubishi mini split in Comfy Max mode. This is exactly what I wanted. I set a schedule to start Comfy Max at a certain time (work hours for my home office). I created a second schedule to turn off at end of my workday. This keeps the temperature constantly updated to match actual conditions in the room instead of failing behind and then blasting me with high fan cold air for long periods like the Sensibo did. The room stays much closer to the desired temperature with this thermostat. The indoor unit stays powered on, so the wear and tear to the Mitsubishi is minimized. For setup, the app just had me point the Mitsubishi remote at the thermostat and hit the power button. Everything so far has just worked from there, including the fan louvres some people said needed adjustment afterwards. It’s saving energy, keeping me more comfortable. It looks good and setup was simple. I couldn’t be happier! LOVE this thing.

It works as advertised. Highly recommended. It work on my Garvee mini split. So glad I got the cheapest mini split (W/O) WiFi. and purchase Cielo Breez Max separately. This allow to have separate controller and function on my phone with the app as well. It also allow me to share it on the apps. Amazing product. So easy to set up. Just follow instructions.

I bought these units for for both my home and a rental property. I love the control it enables remotely through wifi. I found the temperature and humidity readings are accurate as well. It is nice to either have the ability to use the remote control or control the mini-split with the Cielo's screen, or your phone, obviously. One of my mini-splits may have been older and the Cielo wouldn't accept the remote's programming (also out of the country). Erik in customer support was extremely helpful and found an internal company setting that would enable the functionality. He stayed on the line to ensure every setting on the Cielo controlled the mini-split correctly. Even calling me back a few days later to see if I had any other issues! A++ Another best part, is I haven't experienced a wait for customer service yet, very rare nowadays... I like the Comfy feature the best, it allows the ability to turn off/on (completely power down) the unit at set temperatures (one mini-split runs its fan even though the compressor is not cooling). Comfy Max is similar, but works much like your thermostat on an HVAC system, heat when below a set point and cool above a set point, but does have the ability to set humidity levels. The Cielo Max also allows for IFTTT, which I plan to incorporate at the rental property so when a door is left open beyond a certain time, the unit will power down, saving me money not cooling the outdoors! Erik said please call back when I get ready to install the door sensors and program Cielo. The best part is this feature is not subscription based, which is what I found with other controllers I looked at. Now, to my understanding, the company that owns IFTTT may have charges for greater than a few sensors or for a faster reaction time, but I'll review all that when I set it up. At night you can control the screen, leaving the backlight for a nice night light. Or off in the bedroom. Completely a 5 star product and customer service!

I can't say enough about how happy I am with this purchase! I couldn't believe the Mitsubishi mini split I had installed last year didn't have built-in WiFi capability. For that, they make you buy an optional module costing about $180! When I read the reviews, however, there were so many unhappy customers -- it didn't work reliably, it doesn't work with 5GHz WiFi, etc. etc. I really needed the ability to operate the unit remotely and did some search and found this clever device. Clever I say because this doesn't require any hard wiring and it would work with any mini split with remote control. Simply utilizing the IR remote functions of the unit, you can have WiFi remote control!!! Installation was a "Breez" and everything is working flawlessly. I am beyond ecstatic!

The display and local controls are genuinely excellent, offering a level of tactile interaction that's often missing in purely app-driven devices. However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. The metrics provided are limited and, frankly, a bit confusing. One might even call them "enigmatic." A premium feature offering more comprehensive data would be a welcome addition, putting it on par with competitors like Sensibo, who seem to have a PhD in data presentation. Additionally, a few settings within the app feel redundant or overlapping, leaving one to wonder about their precise interaction (e.g., 'comfy,' 'comfy max,' 'temp range lock,' and 'presets'). It’s almost as if they were designed by committee, where everyone got their idea in. My main reason for getting the Breez Max was to find a thermostat with a screen and manual controls for my Mitsubishi mini-split, along with visual humidity and temperature readings. I replaced a Sensibo, and I'm quite happy with the change – less head-scratching, more actual comfort. The standout feature, without a doubt, is the screen and local controls. It’s a refreshing return to functionality over endless app-diving. I would recommend the Breez Max, particularly for those seeking a user-friendly, visually intuitive thermostat for their mini-split system. It's perfect for anyone who appreciates simplicity and doesn't want to become a metrics analyst just to adjust their living room temperature.

I've been using 3 Cielo Breez Eco units with our Mitsubishi splits. I purchased these to operate the splits remotely, as the cost of Mitsubishi's OEM Kumo Cloud device was extremely expensive per split. I came across the Cielo Breez Max while searching for an alternative to the Kumo Cloud controller. The Cielo Breez Eco worked extremely well for the year and a half that I'd owned them. However, we had a problem with one of the splits making a lot of noise (two pitches coming from the unit when the unit was running), and the owner of the company that installed the system came to the house to evaluate the issue. I'd shown him the Cielo Breez Eco and the app, and he was thoroughly impressed and told me that he'd take the information about the Cielo products back to the shop and recommend it to his customers (a lot of his customers are elderly and on a fixed income, and he stated that they couldn't afford the Kumo controller, in addition to the fact that they were technically challenged). He had one of his technicians come to the house to repair the unit, which turned out to be a controller board that wasn't getting enough power to run the fan and the motor, which was causing the dual pitched noise. After replacing the control board, and when using the Cielo app to test out the repair, it was noticed that only one side (right) of the set of louvers were actually being controlled with the swing feature, which concerned him (and me!). After the technician left, I immediately contacted Cielo Tech Support regarding this problem. The tech support representative explained to me that on some mini split units, only one side would be controlled by the Cielo Breez Eco with the app (as some splits only have one set of louvers), and that to get those to work properly, it was advised that I purchase their Cielo Breez Max item, as it has additional features that the Cielo Breez Eco wasn't designed with. Wanting to be able to have a better functioning split, I went ahead and ordered one Cielo Breez Max device through Amazon in order to install it and test it. The Cielo Breez Max arrived promptly and I installed it and ran it through the evaluation process. (NOTE: Following the instructions to pair the Mitsubishi remote with the Breez Max, it still did not control both sets of louvers. But, since I'd had the Breez Eco devices in the past, I knew that I could call Cielo's tech support and they'd get me up and running.) Working with a Cielo tech support technician, they have access to my Breez Max device, and he went through a couple of remote control models and was able to get me up and running perfectly in no time! It's great to be able to have both sets of louvers (when selecting the SWING feature) working! Plus, after working with him, he gave me a discount code through Cielo to purchase the 2 additional Cielo Breez Max units to pair with my additional 2 mini splits. After receiving the 2 new Cielo Breez Max units from Cielo, I installed them and again contacted Cielo's tech support to have the technician get the proper model selected for the splits so that they all had the proper settings to control the swing feature on the splits. We're up and running with all the splits working as they should. As a point of interest, which I did not know, when finishing up with the latest technician, I was a bit concerned about the fan speed not coming on immediately upon initiating the heat mode. He had me select the cool feature, and the fan speed came on immediately and responded when changing the fan speed and swing feature between the different levels. He then had me select the heat mode; it didn't come on immediately. However, at this point, the technician explained that this was normal, as the outside unit takes a bit to heat up, and when it does reach the proper heating temperature, the fans will then actuate and start blowing as they are programmed to do, which they did. His description and explanation alleviated any anxiety on my part and reassured me that everything was working as it should. An important feature to anyone having multiple split units is ensuring that ALL units are in the same selected mode (heating, cooling, and dry modes - "a multi-zone mini-split system can only function in either cooling or heating mode at any given time, but not both simultaneously, as they have the same refrigerant flow. This limitation often leads to mode conflicts when one unit is set to heat while others are operating in cool mode or vice versa" so as not to damage the main unit). The Cielo Breez Max has a feature called "Multi-Zone Mini-Split Control" where you can create a setting to ensure all devices are switched to the same mode when turning on one unit to avoid damaging the system. I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase of the Cielo Breez Max | ENERGY STAR CERTIFIED Smart AC Controller | WiFi Thermostat for Mini-Split, Window, Portable ACs/Heat Pumps. It's nice to have an item work the way it's advertised to, and it has a user friendly interface, compared to looking at the OEM remote and trying to figure it out with all the different symbols, features, and having to slide the keyboard cover up and down to select and change to different modes and settings. And, primarily the feature to control your splits remotely through Wi-Fi connections when away from your property (which is why I initially purchased my Cielo products) is the main reason I purchased the product(s). I am totally satisfied with my purchase(s) of my Cielo products, namely the Cielo Breez Max. And Cielo's technical support is top notch. The technicians that I've worked with are professional and very knowledgeable. And, I like the fact that they are very concerned with how their service to you was, as they follow up any contact with them to ensure your product is working properly and to see if you're having any other problems! The Cielo Breez Max is a great product, and I most highly recommend this item, along with their other fine products!

Doesn't support "I feel" mode for Pioneer mini splits and likely others. (This is usually called 'Follow Me' by other brands). I've had 3 pioneer mini splits and all controllers supported I Feel mode which reports the temperature to the minisplit so it can operate as a remotely placed thermostat. The downside is lack of scheduling ability with the controller and the IR range is pretty terrible on these. I ordered this 125 dollar thermostat because I believed it supports it, and supposedly for some brands it does, but there are many Pioneer controllers which support 'I feel' and Cielo does not support that functionality for ANY of them in the Breez Max, or probably any other thermostat of theirs. I called support for assistance and while the guy was friendly, he was unable to resolve my issue. He helped open a ticket trying to get support and I provided all the information about my controller. Those messages disappeared into the void, never to be responded to. I have an EE degree, I work now as a software engineer. This isnt that hard. Any amateur with an arduino can use existing libraries and decode the few nuances in the controller output with a few samples. But nope, Cielo doesnt support it, and doesnt take customer service tickets seriously enough to even tell you if they're bothering to look into it or not. So, I have a 125 dollar thermostat that doesnt do what I specifically bought it to do, and no recourse but to build my own. I'm sure outside of this the thermostat works very well, but for the price I expect it to support every feature of my controller, and if not I would like that feature request to be taken seriously and done in a reasonably short timeframe. So, for the price, I do not believe the 1-star review is unfair. I have returned the unit.

C'est un excellent appareil, qui fonctionne très bien avec l'application Cielo Home et la liaison avec Alexa. Super service à la clientèle (je n'ai jamais vu ça autant de rapidité et de compétences à la fois) pour vous aider à finaliser votre configuration personnelle en fonction de vos besoin spécifiques. Sinon, l'installation peut très bien se faire sans aide, les contrôleurs (télécommandes AC) étant détectés rapidement. Je recommande ce Breez Max sans hésiter!

Excelente producto, venía por defecto en grados Fahrenheit pero con ayuda de soporte pudimos cambiarlo en 2 min. Funciona a la perfección con mi Mirage Magnum 22

No funcionó con la configuracion qué tenia el termostato. Escribí al servicio técnico y me lo solucionaron de inmediato. La marca de mi AC ni la.conocian, me hicieron unas preguntas y lo arreglaron. La verdad no me lo esperaba. Y el servicio al cliente fue excepcional.

Fonctionne parfaitement, controle ma thermopompe murale comme prévu.
