Love, love, love these lights!
These lights are fantastic! Quality is great and the fan is quiet enough to run in a bedroom. The shimmer effect these lights give off is just gorgeous, pictures don’t do it justice. And the color spectrum is great for viewing- natural looking light without the bluish tinge you get from a lot of LEDs. My plants love it just as much as I do and I am having insane growth in my low-tech dirted tank. I love it so much, I just ordered another one!The freshwater Asta 120 does not come with a dimmer or a remote, which isn’t that big a deal. My lights run on timers anyways, and if I want to adjust the intensity of the light, I just raise or lower the light a bit. The gooseneck provided with it is sturdy and holds its shape very well. No drooping or constant adjustments needed here :)The picture I included is of my 40 breeder planted tank. If you’ll notice one end of the tank is a little dark, by design. I have my low light anubias and java fern growing in that corner. The company is pretty accurate when they say the light covers an approximate 24” x 24” cube. If I was going high light with CO2, I’d be tempted to run two of these lights on a 40B with a 36” length.

UPDATE: it burnt out :( - WOW! Strong enough for my Pond light.
UPDATE: After a year it burnt out and does not work anymore. I am very disappointed :( and I don't think it can be fixed since the led is not replaceable.WOW! Strong enough for my Pond light. I LOVE IT! I have been searching for a light for along time to light up my above ground patio pond. I am very pleased with it. I actually used a black Iron goose neck Stake that’s used to hang plants outdoors for it. The light comes with some extra attachments. I used the ring attachment on the top and slid a zip tie through it to make another ring then attached it to the goose neck stake so it hangs over the pond nicely. The light has been working great. The fan is very quiet and the light is very bright. lights up my whole pond. It doesn’t reach full light to the ends of the pond but that’s expected and I could get another one to have one on each side but for now this is working great and actually is plenty for a pond. If I wanted to light up like an aquiruem where the whole thing is completely lit I would just get another one.My Pond is 60 In. x 55 In. x 18 In. so you can imagine how bright this light is and it gets all the way to the bottom super bright. Now for the 4 stars.. I am not happy that the directions show it has a dimmable knob on top put the unit does not come with one. What’s up with that? Also their website shows it with a dimmable knob. Why did they take the knob off? or are these on Amazon rejects with a mistake (without knob) that the company is trying to get rid of? or are these the old style and the new style has the knobs? Someone should call the company and find out what’s up with that. Leave a comment if you know. Hope this helps

Note - product is NOT what is on picture
Update - My lamp died today. It lasted about 6 months. It did a good job, but I would have expected it to last longer. I'm going back and forth on buying this again. I'll have to think about it.The 80w Freshwater F-120 lamp did not come with a remote control as described in the ad, and the controller was a spin dial which was weird. You just turn it up to the brightest. It was REALLY bright. You turn it the opposite way to turn it off. I really was expecting a portable remote to turn it off from a distance like my other smaller one, but this doesn't have it which was disappointing. I also noticed that the cord is just different. It's one piece so there's no way to connect that wifi cord they show. The cord just has the spin dial and is about 60" long. You can't modify it, but maybe they are selling the remote, and the other type of cord separately? You'd have to contact them. Also, I noticed it does still come with the cord to hang it from a bracket although it comes with a flexible bracket [it's firm]. The long bracket screws into the lamp and into the wall clamp. The bar gets screwed into the bracket and it has two plastic screws to tighten them down. I put the screws on the inside and it's firm [was paranoid as it's a heavy lamp] and definitely holding nice and tight so I have no fear of it moving at all. I put a picture of the lamp [you'll see a flat one that I plan to remove soon as it's having issues and the smaller one is the one they sell on Amazon but I needed a stronger light to help my plants grow. I just redid my entire plant system so that's why they are short so we'll see how they do with this new lamp. I just wanted to warn people that the cord going into the lamp is NOT the one they are showing that you can add a wifi cord to and it's not got a remote control. It's a spin dial which I was not expecting. But, it does do the job and is pretty darn affordable compared to others and it's super bright. It's hot, but not as hot as they were saying in some of the reviews. I wrote them to ask about the remote and cord so we'll see what happens. It's just not the same as what they show in the ad.
