Very light duty rod.
Canโt imagine using more than 8# line.

Excellent
This combo is really good for the price. The quality is decent, again for the price. The carrying bag is super nice. This is perfect to keep in the camper because it doesn't take up room or get in the way of other packing. I have never used a collapsible rod before so I am not sure how sturdy they would be. This one seems to work well. I have used it twice with no complaints, except that the writing on the material and labels is in Chinese.

cant get enough "fish on" time?
I have missed my first one that was stolen out of my truck but I'm over it now I now have a better one and it's fishing' time before work, at lunch, and sometimes on the way home, this type of pole makes this so much more convenient. Before I got my first one I would look at these and think no way it would be any better than a compact telescoping turd for fishing. I was completely wrong I admit. My first one now looking back, was a completely compact telescoping turd compared to this one, just goes to show that given time one can be polished...

Portable fishing rod kit
Very simple to get ready for fishing and the various sections feel secure when pulled into place. The reel feels like a quality piece of equipment and has a very smooth action. The handle can be moved to either side for left or right handers. The kit has a good selection of swivels, lures and 100m of (I assume) 4kg fishing line - around 9lb. Not the cheapest fishing rod you can buy, but probably worth the outlay.
