Completely worthless
Item wound up being used which made it nearly impossible to set up. Once it finally was, it said I’d been taking care of the plant for over 250 days so it was very used. They only let you choose from a handful of plants and the vast majority of those would never fit in a teeny tiny pot (for example one of the few options is a birds of paradise for a less than 3 inch pot *eye roll*). Once it was finally set up, the app kept resetting settings I tried to do for its sleep mode which meant it was stuck asleep or stuck on which drained the battery crazy fast. When I gave up and took the plant out, it had it drinking so much water the soil was literally mud. So, suffice to say every aspect of this expensive product didn’t work.

Blurring the Lines Between Horticulture and Tech: Yoolax Smart Plant Pot Review
As someone who enjoys leveraging technology in various aspects, including aquaponics and web design, I find the Yoolax Smart Plant Pot an intriguing blend of horticulture and tech innovation. Its features make it a suitable match for those who wish to incorporate smart technology into their indoor gardening.Design & AestheticsFirstly, the pot offers a modern design that serves dual functions: a plant pot and a smart pet companion. The 16-bit LCD touchscreen on the front displays the plant's status through various emoticons, adding a delightful interaction element. This feature could serve as an intriguing talking point in a professional setting, say, an office where first impressions matter. The pot is available in five colors, offering aesthetic flexibility to match any decor.Smart Gardening FeaturesThe smart capabilities truly shine with the built-in sensors that measure water level, soil moisture, light, temperature, and air humidity. This comprehensive data set, which is invaluable in my area of expertise in IT management and product development, provides real-time feedback, allowing for optimal plant care. It aligns with the growing trend of IoT devices designed for specific, real-world applications. The Cloud Plant Database & Self-Update feature facilitates live checks, providing insights into your plant's health.ConnectivityThe smart pot can link to other smart home devices via the Yoolax Home App. For example, the pot can automatically control roller shades in your home based on the plant's light needs. This integration creates an ecosystem of smart devices, similar to software deployment in an IT setting, where multiple components work in unison for greater efficiency and control.Battery LifeThe device works for approximately seven days on a full charge and boasts a service life of more than three years. While these specs may not align with the professional-grade longevity seen in orthotic/prosthetic manufacturing or IT asset management, they are commendable for a consumer-grade smart home device.Price PointAt $84.15 (down from $99), it's an investment for a plant pot. However, given its array of smart features and design elements, the price can be justified for those who take both their indoor gardening and tech seriously.Overall AssessmentThe Yoolax Smart Plant Pot scores highly in design innovation and smart capabilities. Its versatility and smart features make it not just a plant pot but a technological companion for your home. Therefore, it serves as an excellent gift for friends and family interested in smart home technology, indoor gardening, or both.

Don’t waste your time or money.
The media could not be loaded. 95$ Mother’s Day gift flops. Spent two hours trying to connect it to the Internet couldn’t get it connected. Called the Amazon health number they told me to reset it. I had already tried that at least 40 times. Complete waste of time and waste of money.

Very small
The planters is very expensive to be so small. I mean, this is for starter plants. The pot size is about 2" - no room for the plant to grow. In my opition not worth $100. I can not recommend this planter.

Cute but not what I thought
The media could not be loaded. I received a used product; it was already connected to a different wi-fi and had a plant registered to it. Three quick clicks on the on button to reset the device. It has cute faces and all, but only when you touch its sides.

Very Very Small
This item is more of a novelty than functional. It is frustrating to use because the pot is too small for most plants and the instructions are not very good. The app is not user friendly. I ended up giving it to my ten-year-old brother, who enjoys playing with it. Overall, this is way overpriced for what it is.

Too Small
This is a fun little concept and it seems to work, but the thing is just too small. Factor in the price and it's hard to recommend this as anything more than a novelty. If there was a larger version I think it would be really practical and very helpful, in particular with difficult to grow plants, but the size is practically that of a toy. This is the sort of thing you get for that person who has everything, because they probably don't have this and it is pretty neat.

🤷🏻♀️
I was looking forward to receiving this only to be slightly disappointed. It’s cute but so tiny. I guess it would make a great starter pot. I think it’s expensive for what it is
