Decent little SSD. Got it to breath some new life into an aging laptop that had a 100% disk usage error. Took a little doing to get set up as this doesn’t come with any software but after that everything works great. System went from over a minute boot time down to 16 seconds. Web pages load much faster, and the whole experience of using the laptop feels better than it was when new. I never really thought an SSD could improving system performance that much over traditional HDD’s, boy was I wrong. If you need a cheap SSD to save a would be trash laptop, get this and keep the laptop for a few more years!

The packaging was great. it includes the tools to remove the back of the Mac Air. A pleasant surprise was the Mac OS was preloaded! So you install it and you are ready to work.I fully recommend it!

Pentalobe driver sent with card is junk. Shaft spins in handle. Be sure and buy a separate set to replace this card.

I installed on a 13 inch MacBook Pro 2017 Model A1708. I won't say it's easy If this is your first time opening your Mac to install a hard drive. It can be nerve racking wonder if you're going to do it right. I would watch a few YouTube video first to get comfortable with the process. There are only a here are major steps. 1. back up your Mac,. 2. Shut down. 3 Remove all screws from the back (the needed screw drivers come with the drive. 4. Pull the black tape from your battery connection.5 Disconnect the batter. 6. Release the battery cable and pull it free, then take out screw on battery terminal. 7. Remove black tape on SSD. 8. Remove the two screws holding the SSD in place. 9. Lift up and pull out the SSD. 10. Plug in the new SSD and put it all back together. When you restart hold down Command Option R. You will see a globe it you did it right. When it restarted choose your wireless network from the pull down menu. It will download a screen with Disk Utilities and reinstall choices. Choose disk utilities and reformat with APFS and GUID Partition Map. After it reformats, close the window and you will see a screen with the choices of how to reinstall the operating system. I tired from Time Machine back up, but it didn't work, then I tried Ventura download and install and it work. OS successfully installed and everything is working great.

Bought this to expand the storage of my Dreamcade Replay. I currently have the system using the small internal storage for Windows, and the Dogfish is handling downloads, apps, etc. The speeds I'm getting aren't as fast as what it's rated for (reads and writs in the 300s). But they're still a LOT faster than the internal storage. And it's possible the Dreamcade has a bottleneck somewhere else. I haven't tested in another environment.I may even start over and clone the internal storage and have it boot to the Dogfish. Haven't decided yet.Overall, very satisfied with the price to performance in my less powerful machine.

Works great and easy to install.

Installed easy in Surface Pro 7+, added a little thermal pad instead of the Surface heat sink.Speed tested got pretty close to spec. Been using it for about a month now daily without issues.Memory chip markings have been etched over, and driver details shown in Windows are exceptionally generic. Likely a bin reject part but I haven't had any issues yet.
