Shipped the right one this time!
I’d previously ordered the Yamaha MAR-10MEL fuel/water separator filter from Amazon, but Amazon shipped the MAR-M10EL. (Similar but not identical part number. And definitely NOT interchangeable parts.) (What the heck was Yamaha thinking?!) I returned and re-ordered, but this time from a different Amazon seller (FCRVM Parts), and they shipped the right one, thank you! As for the filter itself, I’ve also owned a less-expensive after-market filter that’s sold as a replacement for the MAR-10MEL. Yes, it was half the price, but it also turned out to be only half the size, therefore much less filter material, filter surface, lower flow-thru rate and smaller capacity for any water that separates from the fuel. These engines cost thousands of dollars — saving fifteen bucks on a such an important component seems penny-wise and pound-foolish. (Just sayin’ … )
