This addition to your coffee prep workflow is a must if like me you don't have a high end grinder and suffer from clumpy grounds (ooh er missus) This tool has made such a difference to the coffee shot I now get and also makes tamping better too. The tool itself is well enough made and the the stand is deceivingly heavy for what it is. I haven't bothered trying the smaller needles that came with it yet but as yet I don't think I need to. I had originally made a homemade one using a wine cork and a few sewing needles but this is far superior.

The stand that comes with this is metal, which was a nice surprise. The WDT has magnets on the top so snaps to the stand, which is a very nice touch. Before this I had bought a cheap WDT that looks like a tube of lipstick when screwed into its wooden enclosure. It worked terribly- the needles were way too close together. This WDT on the other hand works flourlessly - such a difference! It easily distributes the grind and fluffs it all up nicely - if you’re on the look out for a WDT, get this one and thank me later! A real pleasure to use!

I went from a cheap little wdt tool from temu made with acupuncture needles to this. I was a bit remorseful for the purchase at first but when i used it i realised how huge the difference a good tool can make, make distributing easier, quicker, and just better as there are more needles spread over a larger area. The tool itself is really well built and the needles arent sharp, so they are less like to scratch the portafilter. The tool also came with spare needles which i havent had to use. The stand itself is made of metal and is weighty, i attach the tool to a shelf to save space but the stand is great.

The tool itself is fantastic - the angled needles work so much better than tools with parallel needles which tend to just push a ball of grounds around the basket. You can unscrew the handle to remove/replace the needles which is great, because it allows you to find out what size works best for you. And the fact that they're not sharp is brilliant, because I've lost count of the amount of times I've stabbed myself on these things. It's great quality at a good price. The stand though, is rubbish. It's a heavy piece of bent metal, but it isn't heavy enough to stay in place easily so ends up sliding around the worktop. The magnets in the tool are supposed to hold it on the stand which they do, but the stand's finish is so slippery that you have to be precise when putting the tool in it. I've reverted to using a clip style stand from another WDT tool which is a shame because the magnet idea is great. I think I'll bend a small piece of metal and stick it to my machine/wall so I can use the magnets again. Overall, a great tool that I highly recommend, with a bad stand that I suggest you avoid and MiiCoffee redesign.

Super handy to use, put away and clean. The needles are angled ideally, I had a different model with straight needles and it wasn't as effective.

Well made WDT, the magnet works quite well in other metallic surfaces other than the mount provided and it is nice that it comes with another 7 finer needels, some may want to replace the 0.4mm whereas others could make another tool with the spare ones. For the price, it's a good purchase.

This tool is affordable but it arrives pre-assembled so there’s no faffing about with inserting needles into the base yourself. The magnetic stand works well and after a month of use I’ve had no issues with its robustness. Essentially if you’re after a newcomer who wants to try a WDT tool then this is a well priced entry level choice.

It is a great accessory for brewing coffee. It is very good that the wires are placed at an angle rather than parallel. Before I bought this one, I had a similar one, but it fell and the little wires got ruined. I got a double set of wires for this, so I can fix that if I drop it.

Das WDT Tool selbst ist zwar aus Kunststoff, aber es hält die Nadeln zuverlässig. Das fühlt sich vielleicht nicht so wertig wie Aluminium an, tut der Funktion aber keinen Abbruch. Super ist, das es zwei Nadelsätze gibt, wovon ich den mit 0,25mm verwende bei einem Le Marzocco Einersieb. Die Nadeln stehen zwar schön schräg, aber mit den dünnen Nadeln ist das Kaffemehl schwierig ganz eingetaucht zu durchmischen. Auch hakt man gern mal in die Sieblöcher ein. Also vorsichtig schön langsam von unten nach oben, ständig rührend, bis man oben angekommen ist. Dann aber erreicht man ein sehr homogenes Kaffeemehl, dass klumpenfrei schön eben im Siebträger liegt. Meine Ergebnisse beim Bezug haben eindeutig profitiert von der Behandlung, speziell, weil das Le Marzocco Sieb durch seine zylindrische abgesenkte Form sehr empfindlich auf ungleiche Mehldichte reagiert und anders kaum korrekt zu leveln ist. Da dieses WDT Tool ein super Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis hat, hab ich gleich zwei, so dass ich das andere mit den 0,35mm Nadeln montiert hab. Das ist bei der größeren Mehlmenge im Zweiersieb von Vorteil, da die Naden doch deutlich steifer sind. Der Ständer mit der Magnethalterung funktioniert prima. Für mich ist das aber nicht entscheidend. Ich hab auch noch ein anderes Tool, bei dem das Tool auf einem Zapfen aufliegt. Das funktioniert auch toll und ist sogar etwas schneller. Alles in allem bin ich sehr zufrieden und würde es jederzeit wieder kaufen. Teurer braucht man nicht und ein extra leveler ist auch überflüssig! Das WDT Tool bringt den höchsten Qualitätsschub und ist ein Muss für jeden der Perfekte Bezüge haben will.

I needed to upgrade from my first WDT tool, and after doing a bit of shopping around I landed on this one. While there aren't a whole lot of different designs, the spread of the needles with this tool helps break up clumps with ease and definitely distributes the ground coffee really well. I don't use the stand it comes with, but the magnets keep it locked to my machine just fine anyway, which makes storing it when not in use a breeze. It's a good size for 58mm portafilters, but I presume it might be a bit large if you're, say, using a 51mm or smaller, so I'd consider that. But 54-58mm should be a real sweet spot. It comes with extra needles as well in case any break or get warped, so it definitely seems like it's made to last. You see these exact WDT tools everywhere, so they're popular and sometimes it's not all down to hype. I'm sure once I've got my setup a bit more dialed in, I'll be using the included stand, but I definitely noticed that the stand is sturdy and heftier than expected. Super nice of them to think of a stand though, I've seen plenty of WDT tools that don't have one, so awesome! Definitely consider this one if you're in the market for a WDT tool. I use mine every day (often multiple times a day)

Ottimo strumento, lo utilizzo per il basket della moka, lo ripongo sempre nella sua scatola, di conseguenza non ho testato i magneti, il peso del WDT è molto leggero, l’imballaggio è resistente e incluso di aghi di ricambio come descritto. Ottimo strumento, fa egregiamente il suo mestiere
