Works great, but I do recommend getting a longer length ...
Have had this installed for several weeks now and it's lighting up two closets that share the same sliding doors - I've only charged it once and these closets get opened at least twice a day. Works great, but I do recommend getting a longer length if you plan doing what I did.If they designed this so the light strip extended out in both directions, with the power unit in the middle, that would be a great space-saver.

Works perfectly, but burns through batteries very quickly
This thing is an excellent idea- but there's something not right with it's circuitry.I installed this at my top step of my stairway to illuminate the steps at night- worked beautifully!However- it ate through (4) AAA Energizers in less than a month. That's not right....If you buy this, you should probable buy (8) Rechargeable AAA batteries and a charging station to swap in and out regularly.

Excellent for behind cabinet for soft, motion-detect lighting.
Put this up behind a cabinet at the end of a hall. Just place in the small space between cabinet and wall. Works beautifully to add soft light with motion and without having to turn a light on. Very sensitive with motion so you do not have to place where it is obvious. Just what I needed. Used a hook to fold the extra length down so it was not visible.

Short battery life
Not suitable for high traffic hallways. Batteries run out after 1 day in the hallway that I have this set up in on auto mode. On the plus side, these are very bright.

Battery life not necessarily as good as expected
Very helpful in some darker areas in basement and garage. Battery life not necessarily as good as expected. Replacing with Li batteries now.

Great addition of light
Added these to our closet racks for more light! Worked perfect. We have wire racks so I simply placed the lights on top of the racks and the light shines through exactly as I’d hoped.
