Scam
This is not a complete set. We received the gameboard and (what looks like) photocopied certificates, along with the game rules and box. The six (6) colored gaming pieces, ninety-six (96) colored chips, and thirty (30) ElementO cards listed in the rules were not included. The box was open, held together with rubber bands. This is a vintage, possibly out-of-print, game. However, this was not advertised as an incomplete set. As such, it feels like a scam.

Ambiguous instructions
Just like another reviewer stated, the instructions are ambiguous. After reading them, no one in our family knew how to acquire protons or how to carry out the Elemento cards. The game seems like an idea that was never playtested or completed... and yet they expect people to pay money for it! Fortunately, we acquired ours second-hand.

We Love This Game!
I think the game that's received such a poor review must be a different, older version. Our game is the 2008 version from Alchemist Empire, Inc. Ours looks completely different from the one pictured with the white board.Update: Thanks to someone's response, I understand I was reviewing the wrong game here. We've never played this game--it's ElementEo that we've played and had so much fun with. Of course, that was years ago now, but I thought people who look at the reviews for this game might appreciate knowing that. Best Wishes!

Elemento taught us nothing and made us like chemistry less
My colleague unfortunately procured eight copies of this game to assist in teaching her Chemistry for Elementary Education Majors course. Despite claiming to be completely made in America, the rules read as if they had been translated from German to English via Chinese. There are so many ambiguities in both the instructions and the game play cards that four board game geek PhD chemists were not exactly sure how to play the game. The game mechanics are a combination of boring and frustrating, and there was virtually no educational value. After attempting to play, one of my colleagues said, "I now like chemistry less than I did before." I can't imagine what effect this game would have on a reluctant chemistry student.
