After trying different types these are amazing and by far the best. These have saved my wheels from being damaged and would recommend.

Good hard plastic, worked well for me.

Didn’t work well for me
The protectors are spring loaded by the time they’re sitting tightly against the rim and tend to pop off at a critical moment. When levering the tyre over the rim, one on the protectors split as it popped out causing me to mark the rim slightly. I’m going to look for different wheel rim protectors now as I don’t trust these anymore.
