⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing flavor but definitely a premium snack Nuri sardines in extra spiced olive oil are honestly some of the best sardines I’ve had. They are definitely on the pricey side, but the quality and flavor make it feel worth it most of the time. The flavor is really rich and consistent across tins, which is something I don’t always get with other brands. The olive oil has a deep, slightly savory base and the spice is noticeable but not overwhelming. It has a warm heat that builds a little but never takes over the actual fish flavor. Everything is balanced really well. The sardines themselves taste fresh and very flavorful, with a rich, almost buttery texture that pairs perfectly with the oil. It’s one of those foods where you can easily eat multiple cans in one sitting because it’s just that satisfying and filling. Also surprisingly nutritious, which makes it feel like a good option when you want something quick but substantial. The only downside is pretty typical for sardines, which is that you do get occasional bones and bits of fish guts. That’s just part of it, but I do sometimes pick around certain pieces depending on the can. It’s not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of if you are sensitive to that texture. The only real complaint I have is the price. I just wish it were a bit cheaper because I would buy it way more often. Still, for flavor and quality, it stands out compared to most other sardines I’ve tried.

Some of the best sardines out there! These are not cheap, but are also worlds better than the typical grocery store brands. Nice, firm, large sardines, no mush. Great flavor!

I just received a four pack and I had to tear into one of the cans immediately. According to the date code, these were canned in January 2024 (011/24), and from what I've read on the Internet the extra spicy are aged on site in Portugal for at least 90 days before they are shipped or sold. That makes these pretty darn fresh. The taste was so incredible that I am failing to find words. It's just the right amount of heat. The texture of the fish is perfect and I am absolutely in love with these and immediately went back on and signed up for a subscription. I have tried dozens and dozens of different sardines brands, and settled on Nuri sardines; now I have found the extra spicy, hence Sardine Nirvana!
