Perfect for young and old.
Well this is a great book and a very fun way to lern about the Norse Myths no matter what your age. Clear and easy text and very well illustrated so you can get each and every story come to life for you to remember and enjoy. Shame there are not more books like this for the other Myths from around the world.

Good, just lacking in sufficient pictures for the children
The stories are well written and are pitched at the correct level for children. The only two gripes that I have are that there are not enough pictures (you often go a few pages with only text) and they are just a little bit too long for bed time story telling. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the myths though and you get a good 'basics' of the Norse myths in an accessible package for children.

Absolutely fantastic norse mythology for kids.
Read this repeatedly to my 6 year old daughter for bedtime stories. She loves it almost as much as the Greek myths book by Usborne. I like how the book is structured, taking you from the creation of the world through the tales of the gods to the ending of the world - or the prophesying of it by Odin, at least. Within the overall structure there are sections with three stories in each. The individual stories are an ideal length for children about 5-9 I would say (and for grown-ups reading them). The illustrations are generally excellent. One to read over and over.

Fantastic book
Highly recommended, bought this for my little sister as an introduction to mythologies, absolutely fantastic book, beautifully bound, nice pictures with a good ratio of pics to text, not overloaded with giant pictures like other books i was looking at, so still provides a good read even for myself when i read it to her, some details of the stories are slightly changed to suit a younger audience but the core is still the same.

Timely delivery and excellent condition
I'm really enjoying reading this to my 11-year-old son (who knows more about Norse myths than I do!). Lovely illustrations and great for their general knowledge.

Great introduction to Norse myths for kids
My 6-year-old daughter loves this book! Some of it goes over her head but she really enjoys the stories—we’ve re-read several of the chapters now. Just the right balance of pictures and text.

Americanised and more dialogue than story telling.
As a Scandinavian I was very disappointed.. This is written so weirdly! Instead of telling the stories as they should be told, it feels Americanised (think paw patrol books of minimal literary value) and dialogue driven which makes it difficult to read and totally wrecks the stories. Wish I sent it back when I still could.

Well-written, nice solid binding, good for children
I read this with my 7 yr old and the level was just right. A little challenging with the vocabulary, not too much though, and well-written, well illustrated, thoroughly entertaining. It was lots of fun to read and almost all the classic north myths are there. We especially enjoyed learning about Loki's children, and of course, Ragnarok.
