Campho Phenique has been around for a very long time. I remember my mother using it on us as kids for cuts and scrapes. Years ago, I got a fever blister on my lip and purchased some at a local pharmacy. But it did not work nearly as fast as this little tube. I thought maybe the formula had changed with the previous Campho , maybe it was more diluted. I am not sure. But it took longer than usual to work, so I just quit stocking it in my home medicine kit. I then got a blister on my lip just a few days before buying this little tube. So frustrated because I also had what appeared to be perioral dermatitis. Which takes a good long time to go away. It looked like three little warts by the side of my mouth that regardless of what remedies I used, would not go away. I thought about visiting the dermatologist but knew I would eventually find something remedial on my own. I did know Tea Tree showed promise, and I did have some, but it was not healing them, just drying them out but they remained. Fast forward when the fever blister appeared, I went straight to Amazon and saw the thousands of reviews for this tube of Campho Phenique. The price was ridiculously cheap so I put my faith in the Campho once more. Day one after arriving. The fever blister by the end of the day was drying and fast. By end of day two, it was gone. Oh, there was still an area of darkness where it was, but that too would disappear by day 4. NOT ONLY THAT, but the little wart like, perioral lesions were also going away. They didnt just dry up and scab. They seemed to shrink, then dry a bit, then disappear and I had those for at least 3 months prior. I believe the Aloe in this tube of Campho Phenique is a great bonus. The lesions dont just dry out but are also softened by the aloe so your healing looks and feels so much better. This is necessary in your home medical kit to have when you need it. Truly a powerhouse

Had a cold sore on my lip and began using this product; within 4 days it started to go down. If you feel a cold sore/fever blister coming on your lip GET THIS BRAND CAMPHO PHENIQUE and use this brand immediately. Its a GOOD PRODUCT 👍🙂💯✔️

I used this alongside Mederma cold sore patches. My cold sore was already in the early blister stage, but I used the patches for about 2 days, only taking them off to change to a new one. This helped to keep the sores moisturized and isolated. Then once the blisters were flat and drained, I switched to this gel. After using it for a day post-patches, sores are pretty much gone. Lip is still not 100% back to normal but can't tell by looking at them.

First off the product works in stopping the cold sore in its tracks depending on how soon you applied the treatment. It's very important that you apply this as soon as you start feeling the tingling sensation of a cold sore. I applied it four times daily, making sure to apply it before I go to bed. The cold sore virus will still do its thing and it will still take DAYS for it to fully heal. However the cold sore blisters will usually not get any worse than when you first applied the treatment which is very good if you caught the outbreak at its earliest. I will definitely use this going forward to treat my cold sores. I found that I used almost the entire tube for one treatment so keep this in mind as it's small but it's cheap so no big deal tbh and a small price to pay to keep your cold sore contained. Overall solid product but you have to do your part so it works properly

When we go to sun & surf, my lips take a beating. This product heals my issues quickly and I've bought it several times over the years.

This does nothing to help heal the cold sore but the smell is wonderful and comforting and it helps mositirize.
