The package was quite hard to open and then on one half all the magnets came off of the clear base part and were stuck to the pink stands and I had to use nail glue to stick them back on so beware of that, but other than that they work fine and haven't come apart since

Terrible quality! One of the stands was snapped in two when arrived and the metal round dots on the stand came off with the magnets when removed. Awful. Had to return. Gave 1 star because I had to, but 0 stars is needed.

Brought this nail stand as it was the popular choice for a nail stand and Makartt are a nail brand that most people recommend. It was packaged well. Not too big and it is a nice size to work with. Once I took it out of the packaging one of the magnetic circles fell off the stand. I thought it probably wasn’t glued on properly. I put two of the nail holders onto the magnetic bits and as I removed one of the nail holders the magnetic circle came off with it and another magnetic circle came off too. This is from one stand. I have to glue the three magnetic circles onto the stand now. Not the best quality and not worth £8.99 as the magnetic circles fall off before you have even used the product. Lesson learned for next time. You get what you pay.

This review is for the 2 bases with pink stands: I give this a solid 3 stars because while it works as intended, there are a few things than be tweaked to make it better. First it would be nice if the stand where you place the nail was not so smooth. This would allow for the use of tacky paste to stick well and not move around. Also the magnets could be stronger. Overall I am using them and I took a nail file to the head of the stand to give it that texture I was looking for. Maybe a 2.0 version can have these tweaks. This review is for the 3 bases with clear stands: This fixed every single complaint I had. Three things stand out. First, the magnets are genuinely strong. When you set a nail down and pick up the entire base, nothing shifts or wobbles, which matters a lot when you are trying to do detailed work and need everything to stay exactly where you put it. Second, the size of the tip holder is just right. The part where the nail actually sits fits perfectly under the curve of the nail without being oversized. My previous stand had holders that were too large, which worked fine for bigger nails but was completely impractical for smaller ones like mine. This one accommodates smaller nails without any issue. Third, the finish on the tip holder is the detail that really sets this apart. My old stand had a glossy finish, and adhesive tabs would slide right off of it. This one has the right texture so tabs actually grip and stay put. That sounds like a small thing until you have lost a nail mid project because of a slippery surface. Hope this helps!
