What is the red thing and what does it do?

It sharpens the points of the darts.

Whats the black tool thing?

That is the dart steel tip tool, let the tip more sharp.

I have massive hands and have trouble with thinner barrels. Would these be appropriate for me? I’m no where near being a pro but like to beat my mate!

Compared with the traditional copper standard, the tungsten steel standard is smaller in size, better in stability, easier to control, and durable, suitable for beginners.

Are these 28g front weighted?

The barrels are 28g on their own. Quality set of darts , well worth it.
