Nice to have

I had high expectations, but this product has been a major letdown. It turns on and off randomly, making it completely unreliable. The touch response is sluggish and frustrating, and the Apple CarPlay connectivity is consistently unstable. To make matters worse, the included car adapter didn’t work at all, and the AUX cable is of extremely poor quality. For the price, I expected a much better experience. Definitely not worth the investment!

A nice product

Received 32GB memory card and the unit has scratch and the screen protection is bubbled (looks like a returned unit). But good though for Android play and other apps. Hope this unit will stand in UAE heat.

easy set up you can connect via Bluetooth which was not mentioned but great everything needed was inside I just hate one thing it makes an annoying noise from the back tightner I will try to figure something up for now I’ll give it a 4 stars 👍🏼

It’s a great replacement for CarPlay. You don’t need to change your Bluetooth devices on your phone. Your phone connects to the device for CarPlay and your car stereo Bluetooth which is great for call and music. Plus the added dashcam is really nice. It’s always recording

Works well,good quality camera, access's Android auto pretty quickly- Bluetooth quality is not very good-Sound and Connection could be better-otherwise a pretty good unit

Got a 2017 Civic, this basically has an amazing dashcam and apple car play…that works well too The only complaint i have after a month of use is that my phone audio keeps connecting to it and I don’t want to be my source…it comes with a aux cable but they’re outdated and my car has usb only..have to manually keep switching bluetooth audio to my car speakers (I tried the whole FM transmission thing but sounds not as crispy as regular Bluetooth)

First, be aware that the mounting ball and bracket on this is not compatible with any of the popular brands out there. It is designed to work solely with the mounting apparatus supplied. I wanted to install it on one of the popular extension arms, but finally gave up and just mounted it with what was supplied. That caused a problem because the movement is limited and it really put the device too far from the driver. Second, the glue/stick on mounting tape is worthless. Would not hold the unit in place. I mounted it in a F150 truck, so I just removed the dash junk pocket bracket and screwed it in place. Good videos on the internet for anyone wanting to do that. Worked OK but without an extension arm, that meant it had to be placed too far from the driver. Third, and worst, is that it won't shut off. It senses my phone, so when I get into the vehicle it turns on. That is OK. However, even pushing the off button to turn off of the unit does not turn it off. I did not drive my truck for two days, and when I came out to start it, the battery was 100% dead. Not even enough charge left to open the doors with the remote control. Luckily, although the battery was so dead it would not take a jumpstart, I was able to recondition it and get it to take a charge, but it took overnight to do it. I now have to unplug the unit from the cigar lighter socket whenever I leave the vehicle. That is a total pain. Since I already missed the return window, I'll probably keep it and put up with the nuisance. On the positive side, it is a nice display, and it works fine with carplay. Having to mount it in the middle of the dash, instead of closer to the driver, means the touchscreen is basically worthless for me. It is dangerous to lean forward to reach it and try to manipulate settings while driving. One reason I bought it was because it allows for sound through the unit, or using a transmitter to play through the radio, or to plug it into the radio with standard audio plug. Sound from the unit works fine, but is too low to hear over a playing radio or in heavy traffic. I wanted to be able to play Sirius through my car radio and have CarPlay sound separate. Can't do it. Only way now is to use Sirius through my iPhone and CarPlay at the same time, so the announcements from CarPlay override the Sirius broadcast. This is where not being able to effectively use the touchscreen really detracts from the worth of the unit. I tried to send sound through the transmitter to an open radio channel, but in Houston there is no such thing. I could not find an open channel and when I did in one location, it would get interference just a few miles away. I finally gave up on that. I would have given the unit 3 or 4 stars, until it drained the battery. Now, to use it all the time, I am going to have to rewire the truck to hook it into a switched power feed, instead of just plugging it into the cigar lighter. UPDATE I found there is an extension arm that works on this. I did not buy it, but apparently ones that allow for 4 screw holes will work. I updated to 3 stars because the Seller offered me a refund for the whole price. I did not take them up on it, but there were no strings attached and no request that I change my review. I also have a problem playing Sirius through this. With my iphone, I can bluetooth my phone into the radio, and my map directions will play over whatever station I have on the radio. Here, I cannot do that and if I play through the device, the sound is "tinny" and really poor. I have tried various ways of play back but none work well. Because this device uses bluetooth to hook up to the iphone, you cannot use bluetooth to hook it up to the radio. The unit shows split screen. However, on the iphone that only works if the iphone supports split screen for that app. Only about 2 or 3 apps do this and I could never get them to split the screen on this device. This is really an iphone issue and not the fault of this device. Probably works well on Android. I do like the size of the screen and the front view camera. This might be a great device for other vehicles, just not for mine.
