It's pretty large. My kid is 4'5 but there is plenty of room in length and extra height from the back/top. The only caveat is that your head has to go in an elastic hole and then is up against a mesh screen.

Hello, we recommend you use high-quality, alkaline batteries that specify a long life as this would allow your costume to run for up to 3 hours. Any lower quality batteries may only allow the costume to inflate for 30 minutes - 1 hour and may not produce enough energy for the fan to blow.

How does it stay inflated with your arm out?

As long as you keep the zipper tight around your wrist, it seemed to stay inflated (keeping the fan on).
