Cheap import.
Used to love us made Rothco I have a size 8 olive green hat from a different us made mil-spec company. I wanted something that looked less tactical. Hat feels very cheaply made. Disappointed.

Better than the cotton material, color better than OD, well put together
This is what I wanted, a Jeep hat to stay put with the doors and roof off. The old cotton hats get sweaty and nasty and fade from a color that's really not civilian appropriate. The brownish synthetic material is well suited to hot days and seems very sturdy without being a plastic helmet. The neck strap works well enough to at least corral the hat if it gets away at freeway speeds. Straw hats provide the best coverage, but you can't wear them driving with the high seatbacks and headrests on Jeeps from the last 40 years. Another reason to like CJ's. I like the hat, if she could find different colors, I'd get some for my wife!

These hats are great. They block the sun and there machine washable. I only wish they had more colors.

Great value
I've been wearing this regularly for a few weeks now, and I'm really impressed for the price. It seems well constructed, it fits well... what's not to like? I was just wearing it on the beach today in pretty high winds, and I cinched down the chin strap and it stayed on great. It doesn't feel quite as substantial in construction as my $80 Tilley hat, but it also wasn't $80. Highly recommended, an incredible value for the price. Oh, and did I mention it comes in sizes to fit big heads like mine?
