Very easy to fit. I did 5 average radiators with the 3 sheet pack. The pack comes with fitting for 5 radiators so that is about normal. Took about 30 minutes but I am meticulous. Comes with two adhesive strips to put smaller offcuts together to form the last one. Very good, so I had next to no waste at all. Does it work? Well in a very basic test, the morning before I fitted them I put my hand behind the radiators when they were up to temperature and the walls behind them were very warm. The morning after I fitted them I did the same test. The walls were stone cold, so the heat that previously went into the external wall must be coming into the room. So Yes they do work. Will you notice the difference? Well I think the rooms will get up to temperature a little quicker so the boiler thermostat or TRVs will turn it off sooner is the most likely outcome. May well be a little longer before it needs to cut back in again, but that is more dependent on your insulation. It will only 'feel' warmer if you do not have thermostatic valves etc so the heat will build up and will be retained in the room rather than leak to the wall so the room keeps the heat and gets warmer and warmer. If you have TRVs they will have operated before that happens. So, in summary. Yes they work, they will probably results in lower energy bills because if you have TRVs then they will cut in earlier and turn the boiler off. If you have no thermostat or TRVs then the room will 'feel' a little warmer.

I did a little research and read plenty of reviews on here before purchasing this item, I was amazed at how daft some of the reviews were and just how crazy some people's expectations are. I purchased the 10 radiator pack (5 Sheets) and this was enough to cover 4 decent sized radiators in my flat with one whole Radflek sheet to spare. The key point here is to always buy a larger pack than you think you will need, check the sheet size against the size of your radiators. Unless you have really small radiators, there is no way this 10 radiator pack will cover 10 radiators! I purchased this item from Radflek themselves, via Amazon of course! Delivery was super fast and the item fits through a standard letter box which was handy. Lets get a few things straight: 1. It will NOT dramatically reduce your gas/electricity bill. 2. It will NOT magically turn your already cold house into the tropics. 3. It WILL reduce your gas/electricity bill just enough to validate your relatively inexpensive purchase. 4. It WILL help warm your house up quicker. 5. It WILL keep your radiators at temperature for longer, therefore reducing the work your boiler has to do. Installation: Some people have said that because the sheets are folded, the folds are hard to get out. Nonsense! Place the sheet on a soft surface and run your finger over the folds, turn the sheet over and repeat, job done! One reviewer here has thought about ironing the sheet to get it flat and another has considered an industrial pressing machine, you cannot be serious! There are 2 ways you can install the radiator reflectors depending on your preference between cosmetic appearance or maximum radiator coverage. Oh yeah, shiny side of the sheet should face the wall. If you want the sheets to be hidden from view then you need to use the supplied clips for installation. This method covers the area of your radiator between the hanging brackets, but not either side of the bracket and misses the very top 4 inches or so of your radiator. Pros: Discrete installation, sheet is barely visible. Very straight forward to install . Cons: Does not cover the full area of the radiator. If you want to cover the full area of the radiator then you don't need to use the supplied clips, simply cut the sheet to size and then cut 2 slits up either end of the sheet to match where your radiator brackets are. Then simply slide into place and trim where necessary. Pros: Maximum coverage Cons: Looks messier if your radiator is in a very visible spot. Takes longer to install, you'll have to sellotape the sheets together for larger radiators. Overall, this is a really cost effective way of adding another layer of insulation to your house and becoming more energy efficient. Recommended, just keep your expectations in check! I checked out quite a few different radiator reflectors and came across this. I decided to go with Radflex as it used plastic tabs to place on the edges and the radiator sheet just hangs onto of the radiator fixings which made it very easy to fit and it maintained an important air gap between the radiator and the sheet, and the sheet and the wall. Fitting it was very easy indeed and quick and I started feeling the difference in the room immediately. I had no idea so much heat was being lost through the wall! The instructions make the sheet fit in between the two radiator fittings which leaves the two edges of the radiator exposed so it's not perfect, but with some clever adjustments and cutting extra sheets for the ends, and slipping them into the plastic tubes ate the end, I got the whole radiator covered. Very please with this purchase. Fully recomend.

I live in an old and very cold house with high ceilings and an ageing boiler. The heating has to be on for quite some time before the rooms warm up- and it never, ever gets really warm. So buying this was an attempt to keep a bit of extra heat in, rather than saving money. Frankly I just wanted to be warm. You get three big sheets in the pack. Each one is 120cm long and is like thick, very strong tin foil. You also get rods to attach to the top of the sheet which will help you hang it between the brackets of your radiator. Finally you get a couple of adhesive strips to join pieces together if you need to do so. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. You measure the gap between your radiator brackets, flatten the sheets out (there will still be creases but seriously this really does NOT matter) and cut the sheet to size. Then you attach the rods to the top and slide it into place behind the radiator. Sometimes this involves a bit of wiggling around or cutting a bit more off the edge if you've cut your sheet a little larger than needed but all in all it's really easy. I did three large radiators, one medium sized one and one tiny one with my three sheets and it took half an hour for the lot. So does it work? Yes I'm certain it does. We're a few days in and to be honest we noticed the difference immediately but wanted to wait a bit to be certain. The rooms warm up quicker and to a much warmer temperature. And they stay warmer for longer after the heating goes off. Our heating system finally feels efficient. Even upstairs (which I haven't done yet) feels warmer so it seems that the heat is rising through the house rather than disappearing into walls and outside. If you put your hand behind the Radflek sheet next to the wall, the wall feels cold so the heat must be coming back into the room. I'm convinced it's working and I'm getting some more to do the upstairs rooms.

actual reflector panel is good quality and easy to install. Clips that are provided with kit [to hold reflector in place] are not so good , they seem flimsy and weak, not sure how they will perform long term. Delivery and service from this company really poor , and reaction to my complaint to them was ineffectual . So 3 stars for quality of product 1 star for quality of service and delivery.

One pack was enough to tackle three larger and two small radiators, and it's easy to do it. There's just one problem - the mounting of radiators which are about 65-75cm high and maybe 120cm long means that the actual size of Radfleck between the rad and the wall is about 50% of the radiator area. You typiucally end up with a 60-80cm wide strip hanging down from a point 15cm below the radiator top and with 15-20cm of radiator at either end with no reflector facing it. It probably works well for long, low radiators - though almost not at all for very low under-window types. It is not really possible to hang with a narrow tall radiator such as ones in WCs, though I felt getting a 30cm strip hanging down was better than not doing it, and had the material to spare from the pack. I used an offcut to improve one radiator by just placing it loose, supported by the radiator mounts, to fill the gap between the Radfleck and the top of the radiator (which is often the hottest zone). The material and the method are both fine but doing it again I'd have one central wide panel hanging down, two narrow side strips doing the same, and a top strip running the entire length fixed on with the joining tape. This would at least act behind 90% of the radiator not 50%. Just needs a further instruction sheet.

I bought these from Amazon after reading the good reviews on here. These really do make a difference and a great investment for the long run. I have two radiators in my living room, I fitted one at the back and checked both over a few days and I could feel the difference in temperature (the one with the reflector fitted stayed warmer when the heating was off also). When fitting the first the old wall paper behind the radiator was preventing it slipping down, I rested the reflector over the radiator and it was flapping with the heat rising / reflecting back! I found it was easy to measure and mark using my old joiners folding rule, which was good for dealing with the old wall paper down the back too. I took my time with the first two but the rest was a doddle and took no time. Previously I could feel the heat from the hall radiator through the wall in my living room but not anymore which proves it does the job. Thoroughly impressed with these, the only thing I wish they supplied more reflective tape as I ran out on the last one, but every radiator I had to join sheets on mine.

I have severe rheumatoid arthritis and have very limited dexterity. I chose this product after reading the description and reviews because it seemed easy to fit and potentially 'do-able' for me, unlike products which have to be stuck on the wall behind the radiators. I was delighted to be able to fit my 2 small radiators and 3 big radiators with this pack in about an hour - all you need to do is measure the width between the brackets at the back of the radiator, lay the sheet out and press down the folds with the back of your finger so it's as flat as possible, cut the sheet to size with a pair of scissors, fold over the top of the sheet and slide on a couple of the plastic binders, and then pop the whole thing behind the rsdiator. It really is that easy. Have a poke round the back of the radiators first to make sure there's nothing fallen down the back that might stop the sheet hanging properly - I discovered that my previous behind the radiator insulation consisted of about 20 old socks! I am not expecting to save huge amounts on my fuel bills because I've only got one radiator on an external solid wall, but I was hoping to make the house more cosy, and I felt it did feel warmer last night with the heating on the same setting as before. Very good product, highly recommended for anyone who wants something they can fit themselves with minimal fuss.
