Loved this book, Adam's journey to become the person he was always destined to be free from the emotional control his father had over the family was curiously uplifting and joyous with the FMC's help.His father is a loathsome worm and you feel yourself rooting for his downfall right from the start - nothing is 'too much' to bring him down.Absolutely fabulous read - highly recommend

I always enjoy any book Sara cate writes and the spice is always just right. Not to much and not little. Looking forward to Caleb’s book!

Ok so I couldn't put this down.So so so good in all the bad ways.Absolute premium spice. Even the non shmex, shmex scenes were hot. (You'll know what I mean when you read it 😉).The 2 MCs were brilliantly written and the plot was compelling.This book is definitely for all the good little sl*ts out there and the men that make us theirs x

Did I break my summer book buying ban because I needed to read this immediately? Yes, I certainly did!Was it worth it? It absolutely was!I’m pretty sure The Anti-Hero is my new favourite book by Sara Cate! I found both Adam and Sage to be very relatable. I can’t imagine the trauma Adam went through when everything he had been taught turned out to be a lie, and I truly felt for Sage for how she was treated by other people.While you certainly wouldn’t expect their lives to be compatible, Adam & Sage just fit, their first meeting was adorable and you could feel their chemistry!As always, Sara Cate brought the spice 🥵! I’m looking forward to the next book in this series!

Whenever Ms.Cate announces a new book I can't stop fangirling! The fact that she announced a new series as well?! I was overjoyed! This instantly became one of my most anticipated reads of 2023. I started counting down the days until i had this book in my life. I had to devour it one sitting, this story consumed my mind in every way. Hands down one of my top reads of 2023! I absolutely loved it!Sage and Adam's journey had me utterly hooked from beginning to end! A first meeting can be a unforgettable one and Sage and Adam know that too well after their lives collide at Sal's Diner. Little did they know that betrayal would reunite them. Now they plan to fake it in front of everyone and the camera, but what happens when the real becomes everything in their lives?Gah! The moment Adam and Sage were brought into each other's lives I was glued to these two! I loved the unique way Sage and Adam were brought closer and how they were opposites, but so much more. Sage was such a driven and loveable person and I related to her in so many ways, especially when it came to matters of the heart. Her care for wanting everyone to have a place to explore their desires with safety made me admire her even more. I felt for Adam, especially when it came to dealing with his father, family, and religion. There was more to him than a nice guy and seeing him tackle his new reality had me connecting even more with him.I thoroughly enjoyed getting to see Sage and Adam face things in their lives, them bringing out different sides to one another, and discovering things together. There is no time line to figuring out what you want in life which i'm so glad this story showed. These two had me feeling it ALL with them and i fell hard for them and their story!Sweet sassy molassy! 🔥 From the videos they created to the realest moments, Adam and Sage were hot as sin, deliciously kindle melting, and had me blushing every shade of red known! Action, indeed, Church Boy and Peaches! 🥵Finding someone unexpectedly that see's you for you, that understands your soul, and that loves every bit is so special and Sage and Adam's journey showed that in spades!The way this story tackled religion and the way that it as well as parents can impact our lives was refreshing. From secrets and truths to overcoming the pain from it all and forging your own path, it was all handled in such a realistic way.I'm so curious about the other Goode brothers and i am so excited for their stories! I so enjoyed what they as well as Gladys brought to this story!There were SO many parts that i highlighted that i lost count, i just loved this book so much so here are some of my favorite quotes -"I'd love to grunge him up a bit, I bet he gets even hotter the dirtier he gets.""Something changed in me while I was touching her, tasting her, feeling her. And I never want to go back.""She makes me feel safe enough to lose control.""Regardless of our differences, our souls are the same.""We can be both.""It still feels like a sin, but one I'd gladly burn for."Ms.Cate has this beautiful way with her words that make readers feel seen, reminding us to be who we are, discover your wants and desires without shame, that you aren't alone in finding yourself, that others should appreciate and love you for you, and that letting someone break through to your heart can be the most truest thing in your world. She also reminds us that there is more to us than meets the eye and we weren't made to fit into boxes. we were made to shatter the mold and be 100% ourselves!With The Anti-Hero, Ms.Cate has created a one of a kind journey that was full of depth, set fire to my kindle, and was absolutely unputdownable! She never disappoints! Her books leave their mark right down to my marrow and leave me forever changed. Her words paint the most vivid pictures for the mind and her characters stay with you. Every book of hers makes me love reading even more. Also, I forever want be Adam's Peaches! 🍑Be sure to read the author's note as this story touches on certain topics.

This was my first book by this author , and I definitely loved it ! All of it , the corruption of the 37 year old devoted Christian was something amazing , and how the FMC helped him find himself and overcome what was his beliefs in a way that didn’t destroy them completely (only in his fathers twisted beliefs ) ! Definitely in love and waiting for the next one !!! And THE SPICE WAS A WHOLE NEW LEVEL 🤩🤩🤩

Those two together should not make sense, yet they work so well. They start as friends and when the revenge starts the chemistry between them just keeps growing and so do their feelings.Together they grow as characters so much. She never tries to change herself for him but just grows and I love that even more.Sara Cate wrote this story beautifully. The smut, plot and characters were woven so well together. The pacing of this book made it so that I just had no other option but to read it in one sitting. I needed to know what happened next immediately.I cannot wait to read more stories in this series and read about Adam's brothers.

I swear Sara Cate novels just hit like nothing else! These stories are so intelligently written, each story is unique and powerful. It really embraces the different kinks and needs of the characters in a way that feels safe and isn't laughed about. The characters are powerful within themselves. Each has their own story to tell, each person is whole on their own and so it brings their couple dynamic to something just so so so much more.Sara is definitely up there in my favourite authors, and this book feels perfectly in sync with the next step of the salacious players club series. I loved this book. So fantastic!
