No thing but not full coverage. I’d say cheeky but I’m not picking wedgies or seeing panty lines.

It is not padded. I wear a bra with mine. The breast area is stretchy so there’s no compression, lots of room.

No it is not a thong, but it’s not full coverage either.

Q: Is a bra needed or will these support my cup size, my cup size being a D cup?

I don't wear a bra as my cup size isn't as large as yours. They are worth buying as they look good, and feel good, with or without a strapless bra (or inserts) I love these suits but I'd make the crotch piece wider.
