Amazing qualty, design and size.
This product arrived in a banded cardboard box. The quality and design of the books is excellent. The children are just getting to the reading stage now so we could not wait to get these for them. They are as good as you remember. A great way to start learning to read. Big letters and lots of repetition. Perfect. The girls love them. Highly recommned. Great price point.

Classic book set that is proven by time!
A timeless classic that I remember reading 40 years ago, I recently purchased this for my 8 year old son who sits with me to read these quite happily after school for 10 mins a day. Iโve really seen a massive improvement since we started and his confidence level has gone up 300%

These books guarantee your child will reading with speed and enjoyment.
There was nothing to dislike. I bought them so my grandchildren would learn to read. These books build up a vocabulary of everyday words with pictures to show the nouns eg a cat, a shop, a ball, a tree etc, and the actions in the pictures "show" the verbs. They are not used now because some "educational" twits say they are SEXIST. eg Mum doing the cooking, mum going shopping, dad in the armchair smoking a pipe!!!!!! So what!!!! If it makes reading and spelling easy, just update the pictures and put mum in the armchair!!!! THEY ARE FANTASTIC EDUCATIONAL AIDS. They should be included in the nursery, infant and junior School Curriculum.

Wonderful
I tried four different sets on the market for my kids without much success, then I came across these. they are very old fashioned and probably not politically correct but they really work. They use a "Key Word" system that the children grasp immediately. This is a UK product but there is little difference. It works so well that three of my grandchildren learned to read by it. The copies are now so dogeared that I have bought a new set for my latest grandchild. They are little books so the kids can hold them easily and not very long to read. The delight when they complete the first one is wonderful. " I can read a whole book" Buy them, you will not regret it.

Well thought books with repetitive words
Well thought books. I have introduced only first 3 books in the series to my 5.8 years old child. These are confidence boosting books for young readers. The books are expensive but now I think worth the money spent. I thought the repetitive words might be boring for my kid but actually it helped him to become confident reader. The illustrations in the books are not at all cartoonish, funky or crazy but realistic but fortunately my son liked them as well. My kid is learning to read with jolly phonics in his school. And this book is based on repetitive sight words. So when he needs any help I teach him words with jolly phonics method. Most important thing for me is that once he has leant new words, he insists that he wants to read the whole book on his own.

The best set of English books for early readers!
This is a classic set for learning to read english progressively. The story seems too simple and repetitive in 1a but very soon progresses to interesting topics by 3/4 and helps to build confidence readers out of little one. My daughter is learning English as a second language and at 5 she is now able to read the 4/5 books slowly- but confidently! The illustrations are eye-catching! Would really recommend!
