This bag is big and durable
This bag is just what I expected. It's thick, durable canvas and holds a lot. I use it to carry groceries from the supermarket, sometimes up to 15 kg. It's a 5 km hike through a hilly city. A belt around the waist to relieve the load on the shoulders would make this even better. Otherwise, it's a very good product.

I love everything Rothco
I keep a heavy duty Olive drab colored tarp that covers the cargo area of my 4Runner. I purchased this smaller duffle bag (in olive drab as well, gotta match lol) to keep a jump box, air pump, tow strap and other emergency items. I love the rugged heavy duty material. I also have purchased the large duffle bags in the past, which led me to buy this one. Buy with confidence.

Great little sibling to iconic sea bag! This little thing rocks!
Not sized like its bigger sibling the sea bag but built with same quality. This is smaller but perfect size!Wicked perfect for carrying Gas One survival stove and of course any other gear for your fun in the forest days!here:https://www.amazon.com/GasOne-Premium-Burning-Backpacking-Survival/dp/B0BBSQBXL4/ref=pd_ybh_a_sccl_3/132-1598177-3851523?pd_rd_w=shroR&content-id=amzn1.sym.67f8cf21-ade4-4299-b433-69e404eeecf1&pf_rd_p=67f8cf21-ade4-4299-b433-69e404eeecf1&pf_rd_r=J38VTFS3MJNZGP0VF3P7&pd_rd_wg=9HNW9&pd_rd_r=d85e1eb8-33a0-44b2-98ba-c1fc038417fe&pd_rd_i=B0BBSQBXL4&psc=1

Excellent "No Frills" Duffel Bag
In a world of feature rich bags and backpacks, this is an excellent throw back to the days of a well made simple duffle. It reminded me of the old duffels we had for little league baseball practice, where the bag would be loaded with bats, balls, catcher gear, gloves, & helmets. Strong, sturdy, and effortless to pack. The Rothco Nomad delivers in every regard!First and foremost, it's a BIG bag made of heavy canvas. I've used it mostly for motorcycle trips where I have to pack riding gear to pickup my kids. Helmet, jacket, riding pants, boots, & gloves. There's plenty of room. The backpack straps are a most useful feature that I love. Just pack it up, strap it on, and ride away! The side pockets are nice for stashing quick accesses odds & ends as well. The closing up top was a little difficult to figure out at first, but it's super easy to use. Just stack the O-Rings over the clip strap and you're done. The only area of concern would be rain. It will do just fine in a light sprinkle, but it will have problems in torrential downpour. That can easily be handled with some weatherproofing spray or a shell bag.For under $30 you're getting a tremendous value as this bag is as big & tough as they come!

Traditional vintage military bag in "mini" size
Mostly accurate representation of a "mini" vintage military duffle bag (sea bag). These were always top loaders (keep that in mind as you decide whether to purchase and use). One area it deviates from the original is that the interior top flap used to lay over the contents prior to latching the top grommets together has been converted into a very nice multi-function, three pocket interior addition. This should be folded outside the bag while you pack other items in the main compartment, then folded across the top prior to closing using the grommets and ring. The canvas is medium-heavy, although a more open weave than the original.Note carefully the size of the bag to ensure it will actually provide you the amount of room you need. These folding top loaders lose a portion of their volume by the method in which they are secured. A medium size bed pillow and a wool twin size blanket filled this up completely. I will be using mine for winter boots, socks, and an extra winter sweater in my truck when traveling at that time of the year.

Overwhelming for me
I was given this Duffle Backpack for free in order to provide an unbiased review as a part of Amazon's Vine program. This backpack looks as though it has come through a time warp from World War I. It is made of an intensely thick cotton canvas with equally strong metal hardware. There are multiple pockets -- a cargo one on the outside, and three on the inside. I tried it on without anything inside of it, and then filled it with two heavy sweaters, 2 pairs of jeans, and 2 big books. Both times I was physically overwhelmed by it. My sister who is 4 inches taller tried it on empty, and it was a lot for her, too. As a daughter of the feminist era, I say with all due respect that this is a tres masculine duffle bag. I think it's very good quality but not right for me. I hope this helps you.

Built Like a Tank
This duffel bag is built like a tank. The canvas is a thick and durable material. At 38 L, it's fairly large and should fit enough for many days. I'm looking for a heavy duty bag that will hold most of what I need for 8 days of RAGBRAI. The dimensions: pulling the top tight at two points measures 22" across; the bag is 24" deep and the bottom is 12"x8". It is a bit strange that the top doesn't really close. It just has a strap that goes across and buckles into one of the holes. I'll likely put a rope or bungee into it somehow for a better closure. The tops of the shoulder straps are sewn through to an extra piece of the same material on the inside for durability. The pocket inside is actually 3 pockets in one with one zipping closed. This bag is much better than I expected and if you like a rugged bag and look, this should be on your list. It's well worth the $28 price.
