Solid Performance, Just Mind the Fan Noise
Works exactly as advertised. I used it to power several Ubiquiti cameras and Wi-Fi devices as part of my home network setup, and it handled everything without issue. Setup was truly plug-and-play, and the build feels sturdy enough for long-term use. One thing to note: the internal fan does kick in and can be noticeably loud, especially in quiet environments. If you're planning to use this in a home setting, make sure to install it somewhere the noise won’t be a distraction—like a garage, utility closet, or network cabinet. Overall, great value for the functionality. Just plan your placement accordingly.

Good small POE switch
I have used these several times to extend the network for POE cameras and wireless access points. They work well and I haven't had one faill yet.

Just plug in and use - this is not a configurable switch but great for the POE capability
works great - small footprint. Using it to power a PTZ camera and connect it to the network

Great little switch!
As an expert in networking solutions, I was excited to test the TP-Link TL-SG1005P, and it proved to be an excellent addition to any network setup. This 5 Port Gigabit PoE Switch provides outstanding power-over-Ethernet capabilities with its 4 PoE+ ports, delivering up to 65W of power. Its plug-and-play design and sturdy metal construction make installation a breeze, and the fanless operation ensures silent and reliable performance. The switch's shielded ports enhance durability and signal integrity, ensuring a stable network connection. TP-Link's commitment to quality is evident with their limited lifetime protection, and features like Quality of Service (QoS) and IGMP snooping further enhance network management and efficiency. Whether you're an expert in networking or looking to upgrade your home or office network, the TP-Link TL-SG1005P is a solid choice that delivers power, performance, and peace of mind.

NOT an Omada controlled switch
The switch works and functions just fine. I would like to make the following point clear, this is NOT an Omada controlled switch, Omada OC200 will NOT see this switch if you try to add it to 'Devices'. TP-Link Support needs to pay attention to the information they are giving out. Now I got to ship this back. So much wasted time.

Very good POE switch
I acquired this for my home to replace a Netgear PoE switch that died and stopped delivering power. One of the things I particularly liked was the separate uplink (non-PoE) ports, which left a full 16 ports available for downlink connections. I hooked everything up, turned it on, and everything began working, including some ethernet ports that had previously not been getting power. (The specs say it supports 802.3af/at, make sure your devices are compatible.) The fan in the device makes a little bit of noise, so this is ideally placed in your basement or equipment closet, not your office. It's also quite big, so make sure you have enough room for it (or rack-mount it). No problems observed in the first few days of operation, so I'm a happy customer for now. And as long as it works without trouble at least 3 years, I'll remain a happy customer. Note that there are some operational changes you can make with dip-switches: I left them all off, but advanced users may want to look at a manual before buying, to make sure the options meet the needs.

This model is hard to beat.
The TL-SG1005P is exactly what a home or small business PoE system needs—simple, reliable, and completely silent thanks to its fanless design. I connected multiple PoE cameras (including REOLINK Duo 2) and the switch handled them effortlessly with stable voltage and zero overheating. Build quality is solid with a metal chassis, and setup truly is “plug and play.” The QoS and IGMP Snooping features help optimize traffic for streaming devices and cameras. Pros; Robust metal housing and fanless quiet operation. Reliable PoE+ power delivery (65W total) Zero-configuration setup. Perfect for 4K security cameras. Compact and stable. Cons; No VLAN or advanced management options (unmanaged) Verdict; If you're looking for a cost-effective, high-stability PoE switch for security cameras or home networking, this model is hard to beat.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plug and Play Perfection for PoE! I've been using this TP-Link 5-Port Gigabit PoE Switch (4 PoE ports) for a few weeks now, and I couldn't be happier with its performance. It's truly a "plug and play" device that delivers exactly what it promises. I needed to power a couple of IP cameras and a PoE access point, and this switch handled it flawlessly. Setup was as simple as plugging in the devices and connecting the switch to my network – no complicated configurations or software needed. All my PoE devices powered up instantly and have been running reliably ever since. The build quality feels solid and it runs silently, which is a huge plus in my home office setup. The gigabit speeds ensure there are no bottlenecks for my network traffic, even with multiple devices running. For anyone looking for a reliable, easy-to-use, and effective PoE solution for a small network, this TP-Link switch is an absolute winner. Highly recommended!
