KIKKERLAND Stoneware Thermographic Ink Pixel Heart Morphing Mug, White

The mug is very cool! The base design is very basic and works really well for everyday use, but the pixel heart is definitely the selling point. While it is a little unfortunate that it can only be hand-washed, it is a very small price to pay for this awesome mug. The heart is very cool and watching it fill and empty as you get through your day is really neat. If you consider getting it I definitely recoomend it as it is an awesome addition to any cupboard, big or small!

i got the mug on time before christmas. its become my party trick on campus lol i heart that the heat stickers wash off if exposed to water so i been careful to wash around or dab the heat pad if i have to. but it's really fun, it never gets old and you should buy it.... now!

It is beautiful and fun to show people but the design flaked off over time.

I wasn't planning on writing a review, but then I realized that this mug would have been pretty useless had I bought it for my brother (I didn't though)! I don't know if it's explicitely mentioned anywhere, but the heart is only on one side. If you're left-handed, it'll always be facing away from you, so you'd have to awkwardly rotate the mug every time you put it back down. Other than that it seems to be working pretty well. The red colour isn't as bright as on the photos, but it's still a full red colour. You do see the three pixels at the bottom being slightly off-colour, but it's not very noticeable. It changes relatively quickly (30 seconds tops), and the heart even indicates how much of your drink you have left (it follows the level with a 30 second delay). I've only had it for two days so I can't comment on durability. Don't make the mistake of putting it in the dishwasher, washing it too roughly (don't use the rough side of your sponge) or letting it soak. It clearly warns on the package that any of these things will make it lose its thermochromic abilities. Overall I'm happy with this mug (I'm right-handed though), and I'll be using it for a long time.

Great fun! A friend brought me one of these from the USA and I liked it so much I bought it for 3 different friends. The picture appears really quickly when you pour hot water into it and is quite amazing. We then left it to cool and watched as the wood slowly faded into darkness as night fell...

Bought as a Christmas gift. The first time it was washed the design slipped straight off the mug. Clearly cheap printing. Not worth the money.

The images are whitened out, so you can't actually see all the details on these pics and while they represent the mug it does not exactly look like it. In fact the flowers aren't just pink blobs, they are properly shaped with gradients and also well blended together with the non-changing white parts. The colour changing paint is white and clearly visible when non hot. It looks much better in your hands, I recommend.

La compré como regalo y antes envolverla la probé con un poco de agua caliente, al ver como las flores de cerezos aparecían y lo bonito que se ve la taza me dieron ganas de quedármela, al final la regalé, pero la taza es una belleza.

El producto se ajusta a lo que dice. Me prepare un café para comprobarlo y si. Tarda un momento en hacer el cambio. es bonito de abajo hacia arriba van saliendo las flores de color rosa tal y como sale en la imagen. A mi pareja le encanto como regalo. fue un detalle.

We tested it and it does work with the microwave (it also didn't seem to damage it) But we're now a tad scared to use it too much, since the box says not to put it in it. It's a lovely mug though.
