My toddler ripped the cabinet doors off after months of playing with the door. This fixed it up right away

I needed to raise a 26lb cabinet door 1/8* to prevent it from rubbing on the drawer below it. The hinge adjustments screws would not correct the problem. I considered filling the original holes in the cabinet and re-drilling when i found this product which I found offered a much easier solution. One has to take care measuring to plate position. Be aware that while the supplied screws make a very strong attachment of the plate to the cabinet, the attachment of the hinge will require enlarging the provided pilot holes to accommodate the hinge screws. However, this is relatively easy to do. If your problems is with the door rather than the side of the cabinet, the plate will work that way as well. The result was stronger than the original. Recommended.

These seem like very high quality steel. Seems designed in generic size and will fit for a wide variety of applications. But they are not modifiable and shouldn't be for intended use. So don't think you're going to trim or shape them unless you have the right tools and expertise.

These work perfectly for repairing a broke or ripped out cabinet hinge. They are smaller so they look like they came with the unit. Material is a bit thin so minus a star.

I looked online for this and similar products and probably was a bit impatient but I should have looked at the photos closer before purchasing. As others have mentioned, the screw holes are a bit small and required me to drill out a larger diameter for my cabinet hinge mounting screw size. While it wasn't difficult, it was just tricky in an Manhattan apartment to secure the plate while I drilled. The plates themselves are VERY thin but the repair worked. My hinge still flexes a tiny bit but that's mainly because of the damaged holes underneath. I would look for a thicker plate at a local store ( if avail) and make sure screws fit the pre-drilled holes. Photo note : I should have pulled the protective blue plastic off first so excuse the blue remnants. I'll clean it up tomm.

This kit works perfectly. Repaired my daughter's cabinet doors that were completely torn off. She thought she would need to buy a new cabinet. These plates are well designed and easy to use. Recommended!
