I really feel I should should have made some kind of DIY protectors rather than drop £13 (at the time of my purchase) on some little bits of rubbery plastic, but I got them anyway. They do their job just fine and stop your axe poking holes through your kit bag and any thing inside that comes into contact with the sharp bits. They should be a fiver at the top end though.

The product fit absolutely utterly perfect on my Petzl ice axe ⛏️ I would highly highly recommend :)

Bought for a Petzl Glacier 68 cm . They do the advertised job, of preventing punctures to an expensive rucksack, but really should be included as standard kit with a new ice axe. It's a cheeky way of upping the price by almost a tenner. Still, you really have to have them.

Pricey quality ice axe protector work great are secure and easy to use.

I've just received these. Full marks for prompt delivery but the picture deceives. I only wish the pound shop sold these then that would be fine but £10 for two small bits of plastic! The spike cover is ok but I expected the axe end to cover the entire blade rather than just the very tip. By the way, here is a tip. Do not take your ice axe on Eurostar - they will take it off you despite it being in their permissible category if in the suitcase

Cheap and effective and have connecting Loop/‘t’ so they don’t slip off. Also, the adze cover fits small gardening scissors/secateurs very well!

Guardando sia su Amazon che altrove non ho trovato protezioni più convenienti, la qualità sembra buona così come i materiali che dovrebbero essere resistenti infatti si tratta di semplice gomma semirigida che a parte sciogliersi con il fuoco non dovrebbe rovinarsi in altri modi :D Queste protezioni stando a quanto dichiarato dalla Petzl sulla confezione che le conteneva, si adattano a tutte le loro piccozze. Io ho Grivel Air Tech Evolution Piccozza C/ll, colore: YELLOW, Taglia 58 cm però visto il prezzo ridicolo di questo kit ho voluto provare lo stesso. La protezione per la becca si adatta perfettamente andando a proteggerne almeno i primi 5 cm, la protezione per il puntale invece non si adatta perfettamente per via della conformazione del puntale Grivel che non è a triangolo perfetto, ma un po' sbilenco, comunque forzando leggermente si riesce a farlo rimanere in sede anche se in maniera meno solida rispetto a quanto sperato. Peccato solo che non ci sia anche una protezione per la paletta, avrei pagato volentieri un piccolo extra! In definitiva comunque un buon prodotto ad un ottimo prezzo!
