Loved it ! Highly recommend, Funny , intelligent , relatable read
Although the book is based on Cath’s life as a single mum the other characters in this book add so much to it , they seemed so real and had depth as they covered many facets of society and I could easily relate to them all . ( they could equally have their own books about their lives , maybe some sequels ! ) the book is written in an easy to read form, yet it’s written with huge emotional intelligence, fun and wit . What a great book from an aspiring author. …Loved it !

Haven't laughed so much reading a book.
Not my usual read but it was recommended so thought give it a whirl. Glad I did. Never spluttered laughing at a book before but I did on more than one occasion. As a middle aged mom of 4 I can totally relate to the juggling motherhood scenario and Jack reminds me so much of my youngest son. Totally relatable to modern day. Didn't want it to end. When's the next one being released?

Celebrating the messy melting pot of real life
This isn’t just your straight up girl-meets-boy. It’s bittersweet, frustrating, complicated, poignant, surreal & beautiful - just like real life. There’s a little bit of Cath & her clan in all of us. It’s the perfect blend of light & shade that makes this book so brilliantly relatable. 5 stars, well deserved.

A perfect summer read!
Superbly written with some hilarious turns of phrase that had me literally “loling” (cringe 😬) whilst reading it on holiday. That, coupled with the unexpected poignancy running through the book makes it a brilliant first book by the author, looking forward to seeing what’s next!

Great read
I don’t normally read romcoms, but a friend recommended it and it’s really great! The observations of family life are spot on, and it’s funny to boot.
