The USED product works fine
The product works fine. OPNsense can recognised it. Just checked on Amazon, this product doesn't mentions if NEW or USED. But I received a definitely used product.

In one of the questions, the seller stated it comes with both brackets. Mine came with only standard bracket. I need low profile bracket. Unable to use it so far. The seller has promised to send the low profile bracket. Hope it comes on time for me to use this card. Keeping my fingers crossed. Will update this review after I get the bracket and put this card to work! Update July 31: The seller promptly sent the low profile bracket. I will buy again with confidence from this seller CorteseInc! This adapter is functioning as expected. It is based on the same Intel i340-T4 chipset for a fraction of the cost.

Diese Quad-Port NIC nutzen wir in all unseren HP ProLiant Servern der aktuellen Gen8. Im VMware Virtualisierungsumfeld, aber auch bei dedizierten Servern wie Filern oder Applikationsservern. Generell sind PCIe NICs den Onboard-Ports immer vorzuziehen, da hier das Offloading/Packet Processing komplett auf der Netzwerkkarte geschieht. Die Daten werden direkt aus dem Arbeitsspeicher abgegriffen, ohne das die CPU mithelfen muss. Auch die IP/TCP Checksummen sollten komplett auf der spezialisierten NIC berechnet werden (Offloading im Treiber aktivieren!). Gerade im Produktivumfeld sollte dies beachtet werden. Die NIC nutzt den Intel Chipsatz 82571EB. Dieser ist laut Intel für OEMs, aber baugleich zum 82571GB ("The 82571GB is functionally equivalent to the 82571EB and the 82572GI is."), welcher auf der Referenzkarte Intel PRO/1000 PT Server Adapter im Einsatz ist. Eben State of the Art...

Die Karte hat eine gemessene Leistungsaufnahme von ca. 6W. Ansonsten gibt's nichts zu sagen. Passt alles.

If you're buying this because you're building out your own pfSense router, then you'll be pleased to know that this works immediately with it. Highly recommended. Pleased to report that the seller send me a small form factor bracket upon request.
