Not the best but ok
After a lot of testing I found that this socket can only be used a certain way when inserting a cable - If the cable is inserted the wrong way then no data or charging will happen so I had to mark the cable to which way it has to be inserted - Once this cable is inserted correctly you will get full data and charge speed - It's a shame as the build quality is pretty good - As you can see in the picture the CC1 & CC2 pins are not lighting up correctly this must be the reason for it not working as a USB-C should

Read the reviews before purchase
As per other reviews, this item doesn't work as a USBC connector should, only works sometimes, if you wish hard enough and make sure you are eating well, then this connector may work, but chances are, it won't! Save yourself the time and frustration of ordering this item and look for a different one!

Had to return
Luckily I tested this before I drilled the hole. No power or data pass through. Returned for full refund, I will buy one from RS in the future
