Seems quality
Installed on my 2011 GL450. Does have a metal gasket. I purchased some additional water pump sealant to go along with it. Installed just fine.

Solid product
Product looks and feels like it is built well. The only issue i found with the pump was one side where the clip that holds the water hose in place was not cut evenly similar to the opposite side. This caused the clip not to go in, which in turn had me believing something more serious was wrong. SOLUTION: I had to shave the slot down a little so the clip could fit

Quality seems good. Fits well, doesn't leak. One difference I noticed is the propeller on this unit is welded to the bearing hub at only 4 points instead of 12 (1 1/8" tack per fin, OEM is 3 1/8" tacks per fin). OEM held up just fine over time with no cracks in the welds, i assume this should be the same with only 4 1/8 inch welds and will hold up, time will tell.
