Works well, glue not great
Great to see things manufactured in the UK. The glue used in this product prove ineffective, however, and the glass part fell out of its case. Fortunately it landed on the table and didn't break, so I could put it back together using some proper glue.

Inaccurate temperature readings of up to +10 C and difficult to see the temperature reading unless completely facing the display.

Very accurate.
Very accurate. I have tested in different rooms with different temperatures. It may take some time to be adjusted to the actual room temperature, but beats many digital thermometers in the market in aspect of accuracy. Also, a mercury thermometer is much cheaper. The only disadvantage is that it has limited viewing angles. Very satisfied and highly recommended.

No plastic, does what it says on the tin
Looks exactly as in the photo. Happy to report that in my case, the thermometer was accurate - this should be true if the bottom of the bulb is aligned with the line on the bottom of the wooden frame. The glass bits are partly protected by sitting in a groove, which is a good idea, and I love the fact that it's not made of plastic and requires no batteries. In other words, if I don't break it, it should last forever. Great value.
