Ball 2177240 EasyCanner Electric Water Bath Canner, 21 quart, Silver

I've been wanting to can for a very long time. I also have an electric stove top and heard online that the big water bath canner can make the stove top Crack, so I started using a smaller pot that won't go over the burner to prevent this issue, so I could only can maybe 7 pint jars at once. And I also struggled with the whole heating properly, and just the anxiety behind it. BUT I just bought this electric Ball Canner for myself while on sale because it was 100$ off for the pre-prime sale. ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE BUY. I was hesitant for months about it and when it was on sale, I decided to buy. But I enjoy it so much now that I would knowingly now pay the regular price. It really has been made easy, that even a nervous Nelly like me didn't stress. You can even find YouTube videos of how to use, and it made me feel very confident in using it. I've only ever made apple butter before because it's easy, but this time I tried Strawberry Jam. I ended up making 2 batched because I overbought supplies, but this made it SO FREAKING EASY. I wish to someday have a homestead of my own, but in the meantime this has helped satisfy that ancestral urge to squirrel away food lol. Function- It really is that easy in the sense that you fill with water, it preheat your jars, which beeps when it's done. Then stays warm so the jars are still hot while you fill your jars. Then literally once you put the jars back in, it preheat back up to temp again, then processes on whatever processing time you put. Then has a rest timer for 5 minutes before you take it out. And also has the spout which you can put on whatever side to make it easier to empty the water over the sink. I love it!

Best canner ever! So easy to use and no more guessing when the water is ready to go and keeping the water at the right temp. So glad I bought this:)

Highly recommend this product. I am relatively new to canning (& preserving) and this product has made the process so much easier. It is true that starting with warm or hot water accelerates the first feature. I agree with other reviews that the controls are not easy to work with and the spigot doesn't drain the pot completely however, the full beginning to end result is less time consuming. I have a very small and limited kitchen space so sterilizing/preheating the jars feature works for me. It's easy to clean, easy to empty and easy to store. I recommend this for anyone who is learning how to can. An excellent investment so far and will edit this review after a few more batches.

We have been using this water bath canner for canning pasta sauce, salsa, etc. and love it. Very simple to use with easy, automated directions. We can fit a large amount of jars in it at once. Clean up is also very easy with a spout to drain off water. It stands alone out of the way so it doesn’t interfere with other cooking in the kitchen. We also enjoy that it has multiple uses for cooking. It can blanch vegetables, steam, and boil noodles. The only downside we found is that we wish the grip over the handle was longer. This would benefit those with bigger hands. Overall, this was a great purchase worth the money.

Works very well but takes awhile to figure out how to run it. Best just go to YouTube and watch excellent video instead of trying to g to figure out the instructions included with the canner. The process seems to take a long time to go from one step to the next
