Fab toy
What a fab toy, it uses cardboard for the track so go vtech for recycling. You get to colour in your own track and decorate it however you wish. There is simple to follow instructions on how to put your track up. You can also add to the track as well as make your own obstacles which is all in the instruction book on how to do this. Great price and can be used over and over again and can make new tracks each time, and if your track gets ripped or in need of repair all you have to do is find some cardboard and off you go new track for free. Endless fun and possibilities would highly recommend and well worth the price.

Brings out creative side with being able to customise your own track
Carboard racers has got so many fantastic elements to it. One of them being more eco friendly by the track itself being cardboard. If a piece of track gets broken or goes missing, you just easily make some more with cardboard. (My son has amassed his own stockpile in the garage) . The Monster Truck and Track retails on Amazon at £19.99 and while on the surface these seems great value, I feel this track could be made even more value for money by including maybe a small pack of colours to help the child decorate it themselves. I think maybe even some demo batteries. There's nothing more frustrating for a parent to get a toy for their child and then to have to pay out more money to get that toy working. My boy was initially amazed and thought this was such a great toy, but now that he's played with it a few times and finished decorating the original cardboard that came with the toy , his interest has faded slightly. He said in his own words that he wants something more exciting to happen. I feel that at 10 he is starting to outgrow a toy like this and it would be much better suited for the 5-8 age range rather than just 5+ . When playing with it and setting it up, you need to make sure it is on a flat even surface that the track supports are able to grip to and , that will then in turn hold the track together much better as it won't be able to be pulled apart by the movement of the Monster Truck going around. I do love how easy the instructions were as my son was easily able to set it up himself. The colour and decorating element is such a well thought out idea as colouring has got so many benefits from hand eye coordination, concentration and being so calming. This element to the toy as my son said helps make sure that no 2 people will ever have the same and everyone's will be unique. All in all I do think this is an amazing toy with so many benefits, and even though my son still does play with it, he's not playing as much as he was , so I do feel he's just slightly too old for it now,

Fun, creative and expandable
This has provided lots of fun for my kids over the summer holidays. On rainy days, they colour in the track and on sunny days they take it out in the garden to race the monster truck. It’s easy to assemble though I did find the clips come off the track sometimes when the truck is going round but that’s easily fixed and doesn’t effect play.I Love how you can use your own cardboard (we use delivery boxes) to make your own track. In the instruction manual it shows you how to get the perfect hill incline and make jumps for the truck. This will be something I buy as birthday gifts for children in my kids class at school. Great for boys and girls.

Great holidays fun
I love a toy or game that has layers to it - cardboard racers does not disappoint- in the box is everything you need to set up worth noting you need to add pens/stickers to decorate oh and batteries for the vehicle! It’s super easy to put together as made of cardboard and the connections clip with ease plus you have spare so can add an boxes to make bigger tracks!! The print designs are awesome and fun to colour to add creativity (ideal for rainy day fun!) then the raging monster truck whizzes round and crashes through a sign too - lots of fun and takes time to play as you can add lots of artistic fun to your own design - the kids here gave it a big thumbs up for lots of fun

Great gift for your little car enthusiast
We love the concept of this toy from Vtech, it comes complete with a ruler for measuring your own race tracks to extend your toy. This really adds to the overall play value of the toy and it encourages children to be more environmentally conscious. However the price tag of this toy is a bit steep considering the contents is mainly cardboard and a single small vehicle. However the cardboard tracks are very good quality and can withstand children colouring, painting and bending them out of shape. You can easily reshape your tracks by using a crisp tube or tin can which most households are likely to have available. Also putting it together can be a bit fiddly so younger children may not have the attention span and enjoy this toy as much as older children. However once you have finished constructing your race track it's really entertaining and fun watching your monster truck whizzing round. If I was to add anything to this toy I would say that more props and perhaps some craft materials such be added so that they don't have to be purchased at an additional cost. Another downside as a buyer is that this toy didn't come with batteries already provided which I think should come as a minimum provided the price you are paying.

Brilliant toy and a new use for your old cardboard boxes!
This is a brilliant toy that really helps kids with their creativity. My 8 year old and 4 year old, spent a good while decorating the cardboard track. Then I set it up all up for them. The first time we turned the car on, it fell off the track but once we made sure the cardboard was nicely rounded at the corners we had no problems making it race.Although this toy is aimed at 5+, it was the biggest hit with my 4 year old. He played with it for ages. From running around the track trying to race the car, then trying to catch the car as it whizzed past him, to him setting up his own track for the car to follow.Because my son used it so much we found that the clips holding the cardboard tracks together, kept coming apart, much to my son's annoyance. But this is easily fixed by putting an extra bit of cardboard or paper in the clips to hold it tight. The best thing about this track, is you can use your own cardboard to make the track bigger, and if your track gets damaged, simply use a cardboard box to make a new piece!

One small issue. DIDNT HAVE THE CAR
Instant landfill. Avoid. Despite saying on the sealed outer box that ‘car is included’ it was not making it junk. Do not buy.
