Excellent Pickup for the Price
I like alnico II pickups because they sound a bit "softer" to my ears and they are a known quantity to my experience. I don't like that the major manufactures charge and arm and leg for them as they tout them as vintage boutique (even though they are brand new). I put one of these in the bridge of my guitar (I like having a ceramic neck pickup to even out the tone) and it sounds exactly as expected. The only thing I would warn is that it is a single conductor so no coil splitting possible. Of course, that is part of what keeps the cost down. It's also pretty cool that they silk screen a logo on the bobbin. I would definitely recommend this for anyone wanting the sound of the Seymour Duncan Slash Alnico II pickup at one fifth the cost.

Great bridge pickup,
I ordered one bridge pickup and two neck pickups, all for my three pickup Les Paul. Pickups arrived on time. Pickups we're individually boxed, nice packaging. First thing I noticed is that they are short legged pickups, meaning that the mounting tabs on the baseplate sit higher than actual Gibson pickups. The braided hookup wire is WAY to short to actually make it to the control cavity. Plan on adding length to it if you are going to try these pickups. A bit of the fiber wrap around the bobbins was pulled away on one pickup. Be careful on installing that you don't snag that wrap on the mounting ring. Sound? Very pleased by the bridge pickup. Sound is fat but not hot. Just what you expect out of a PAF style pickup. Good even response across the dynamic range. Very pleased with this pickup. The neck pickup however was a dissapointment. Muddy, no sharp clarity, just sounds like the tone control is rolled off. I will fuss a bit with the pots and caps and see if it will brighten up. Overall though, they are decent pickups. They are wax potted, so no microphonic feedback at higher gain.
