The charger is well-built and sturdy with a beefy power cable. The design is light and feels like it is quality construction especially the handle. The overall LED and display is simple and clean, providing the right information. I looked across a LOT of the EV chargers and this one looked the best. While I had an issue with mine, Support was super responsive on the first request and follow-ups. This is really important. All of them can have issues. What differentiates the product and company is how quickly they address the issue. Very satisfied!!

I bought charger for my 2017 volt. It was cheap and I have it a try. Bag and accessory were nice. it worked flawlessly for 11months. Seems to charge faster than OEM. It died recently and I suspect it was the Florida heat (being left in car) and being thrown around by my kids. Since it was under warranty I contacted seller to see if they'll replace. I was very impressed. Seller was quick to respond. They required video and pics and sent replacement quickly. All within 7 days! Replacement works great! Awesome experience!

This worked fine for 20 months, then it appears to have overheated at the connection between the charger plug and the included outlet adapter - melted the plastic and oxidized the metal. Luckily it did not start a fire!

I need to leave a review cuz I bought this in July 2020 (four years ago) and this charger still works perfectly! Background: I own a Nissan Leaf 2015. I drive 50 miles daily for work and because of the range of this car, I have to charge it overnight almost every day. Charging condition: I live in New York, and I don't live in a place with a garage, I just plug the charger inside and leave a small gap in the window for the cord. The rest is always exposed to the outdoors without any issues. I've changed my car in the rain, storm, and snow season - without issues at all. Automatically stops charging when the car is fully charged: I've left the charger plugged into the car when I'm away for weeks, there's only a couple percentage of battery leaks because it stopped charging once the car is fully charged. Fair enough.

I purchased a 2015 Chevy Volt in May. The car was delivered with only a 220V charger - the prior owner kept the cable - so I needed to find a 110V charger. Based on Amazon reviews and a little internet research, I selected this Zencar charger. As always, Amazon delivered on time. The Zencar EVSE comes with a nice case. I plugged the car in, and charging started. Couldn’t be easier. I am impressed with the overall quality of this charger. The connectors are robust, and I expect them to last for years. I highly recommend this EVSE for use with the Chevy Volt or other vehicles with the J-1772 plug. Update - after one year, I continue to use this daily with no problems. Highly recommended. Update - after two years still going strong! Update - I just sold the car. Never a problem with the charger (or the car). I no longer need a commuter car, since I don’t commute.

This charger is much better than the one that came with the car. (2012 Chevy Volt) There are no overheating issues with fuses or any other BS that Chevy made. I've had it for a month and my electric bill is cheaper than it was when I had used the original charger. Wake up Chevy! If you do some research oh, you will find that the original charger had an overheating problem that not only melted the plug it also started fires. I was a bit hesitant buying charger from Japan, but it works much better then the original Chevy charger. It only cost $200. If you shop for a replacement you will find that they start around $300 on up. Quite the rip-off! So if you don't want to get ripped off by Chevy go through Amazon and Walmart and get yourself products that actually works. I was charged $98 for my local Chevy dealer to tell me that they can't even touch it. I got burned. So I'd like to save you from getting burn like I did. Just replace it will the $200 one. It works fantastic!!!

We have had this charger for 1 year and one month. It worked perfectly until today when it stopped charging the car. We can still charge on other chargers so we are confident that it is a malfunction of the charger.

This review is for a used unit. It may not reflect accurately on a brand new one. Unfortunately I purchased a returned one at a good discount, and this time the luck was not with me. The charger kept failing, disconnecting constantly from the car, and flashing fault light on the unit. I went back to my current charger and everything was working fine. I wound up returning this one.
