(Aniwell) FiltaBac Antibacterial Sunblock for Animals 500g tub

I found out about this product on a blog. I had been buying 50 factor children's sunscreen as my horse is a grey with very pink skin and his fur is very thin, so any UV rays cause immediate problems for him. However, I then heard that some horses can be allergic to some of the ingredients in human/children's sun screen. Filtabac is absolutely great - it gives very good coverage so is good value for money. It stays on far longer than any other sun screen I have tried, so although the instructions say to apply more than once a day, I don't have to do this (although my horse does wear a full fly mask every day). As I only found FiltaBac part-way through the summer, my horse had developed pink areas around his eyes and nose even before the hot weather and despite the application of other products, so I have been delighted that having used Filtabac for a few weeks now, his face looks very healthy indeed. I would recommend this product unreservedly.

Absolutely fantastic product! I bought this as a barrier cream to protect my horse's pink bits from the sun and biting insects, which he really suffers with. It's the only thing that has ever worked as it really soothes and protects and only needs a thin layer, and actually stays on, so lasts for ages. I wash it off every few days, dry the area and then re-apply. I also use it for any minor cuts or sores. I can imagine it would work really well on mud fever. As far as my horse is concerned it's one cream for all his little problems, so I'm very impressed!

This is a truly remarkable cream We are now using it on open wounds on marine mammals (manatees) caused by boat strikes, and are getting far better results with it than we've had with any other product over the last sixteen years. The rate of healing is considerably faster, with clean, healthy scar tissue growing over the open wounds at a phenomenal rate. An extremely useful product that we'll always keep in stock from now on.

My aged thoroughbred has really extensive sarcoids and this cream has been really helpful - to both protect and keep the flies away. It's a bit expensive since I need about a quarter of a pot for each application, but of course anything from the vet would be more expensive!

This cream is amazing. Clears up irritated/scabby skin and great sunscreen too. A little goes a long way, as it is quite runny so be careful!

Fantastic product! I use this cream every day to protect the ears of a very blond alpaca whose skin is sensitive to everything else! It dies quickly, leaving a layer of protection and she doesn't seem to be able rub it straight off as with similar products.
