Excellent generator! The Westinghouse generator is quiet, fuel-efficient, and very easy to use. It starts quickly and provides stable power for camping, RV trips, and home backup. Lightweight design and long runtime make it a great value for the price. Highly recommended!

Westinghouse is a brand I trust with a long history of producing durable equipment. The iGen 2550c is among the smaller size, lower cost, and more convenient portability for this kind of equipment. Power capabilities will be more than adequate for my off-grid power tool needs, and maybe power outage service at home. Quality is impressive. Easy starting and quiet operation. User manual is very well written with good illustrations, comprehensive parts list and exploded views. I would recommend reading the manual a couple times including at first start-up and after some use to understand settings, modes, and the data panel.

Super handy and easy to use portable generator that I have had a years worth of good experiences with particularly running power tools on projects, outdoor lighting, and occasional outdoor camping etc (ice cream maker). It runs very quietly, runs really well, is clean and easy to use, and very portable (not heavy). It only didn't get a five star because I've noticed it can sometime cut power on uneven ground ....it likes it level !

I purchased this generator to use on my camper. Filled it with the oil that came with the generator. I am able to purchase non-ethanol fuel so that is what I am going to use. Followed the starting instructions and it started right up. Once running, I plugged in a box fan and it ran great. I also tried the ECO mode; runs quieter. Only criticism I have is finding the serial number in order to register the generator. No where on the box, supplied paper work or the generator itself was the symbol S/N or the words "serial Number". Hope the number I supplied is correct. Otherwise at this point I am quite pleased.

Received the generator, 20 minutes later after uncrating adding oil and gas, three pulls and it started. Let it rest for awhile and one pull it started. extremely satisfied with the start up and ready to put it to a test this weekend. I have a larger Westinghouse generator which is a great product put it weighs a little over one hundred pounds. a little hard to hard to lift, this one weighs 40 pounds and is easy to move. I highly recommended this product.

(UPDATE 1/5/2026) Starts up easily and puts out great power. However its consuming a bit of oil at this point. Have to add a few ounces of oil ever two or three gallons to keep the oil shutoff from coming on and shutting down the unit. I did proper breakin and routine maintenance and am a little upset the unit is burning so much oil at only 170hours. It has an actual fog when under high loads. Blue smoke everywhere. Also as with many units with a CO sensor its a little too sensitive for my liking. Ive had it shut off many times from a slight breeze blowing the wrong way. Ive seen several of the Powerhorse 3500 and Predator 3500 inverter generators get 8,000 to 10,000 hours and still not burn nearly as much oil as this unit unfortunately. At the 170 hour mark i cant recommend this unit for long term use. Id opt for a compeditor with better long term reviews. Im going to just add some engine restore to the crankcase and hope it helps and I'll keep this as a spare and upgrade to a better unit. Won't be much longer and I suspect I'll be fouling spark plugs. Also the handy LED info panel is starting to malfunction and not updating the load percentage or runtime remaining as well. (Initial impressions)It runs great and started on the 3rd pull. Somehow after running the 1st time I restarted a few days later and had no led lights for the panel on my 2550c. I contacted Amazon and they contacted Westinghouse and I assume they were going to set up a repair somewhere. I figured I'd take it upon myself to see if anything obvious happened. I removed the 4 screws for the front panel and found a wire had come loose from the lights! Turns out it was a simple fix! Huge thanks to Amazon and Westinghouse for being so quick to help! Definitely recommend the unit! Super quiet and seems to be fuel efficient! And Amazon customer service is top notch!

I bought this Westinghouse generator to use for RV camping when boondocking. It keeps my motorhome coach batteries charged and also charges my phone's, laptop and operates my TV & small appliances. After arrival, I put fuel and oil in it and it started up on the first pull. After the break in period it always starts on the second pull. It is fairly quiet, energy efficient and lightweight for its size. I have about 100 hours on my generator and it is serving me well.

Made an impulse purchase soon after power went out after a Midwest storm causing our sump pump to fail and our basement to flood. The following week we got hit with storms again. Used the generator to keep the sump pump and the fridge going. Its quiet and easy to use. The gas lasted about 6-7 hours for us, instead of the 11-12 stated on the instructions. It saved us from another basement flood.
