Worth the money
Was thinking of buying the large commercial tin opener but was really too big to store and didn't want it permanently fixed to my worktop in the kitchen. Read the reviews on this one and it's great. Opens 2.5 litres of tinned tomatoes etc and is easily stored in my cupboard. Thank you.

Average
It's an average product considering the price. Hard to use and doesn't always do what it is meant to do.

Some use but not fully
I purchased this opener for the church soup kitchen where I work where we have very large tins to open. It is strongly made with a little handle for good grip. It did open a small tin, but it wasn't easy for me to pierce the tin. I am elderly and struggled to turn the handle. Even after removing the paper on the large tins there were parts of the process that it wouldn't open, so it left gaps in the lid as it was struggling to open, so ended up with the tin with piercings along the edge which left it neither open nor closed. It would be too difficult to return to Germany so I have kept it aa spare.

Doesn't work at all
3 of us have tried it, none of us can get it to work, far to fiddly and wont grip the lip, so you end up with a puncture hole and the lid still attached.

Great piece of kit!
Excellent piece of kit. Just takes a little getting used to, ie keeping some up pressure, but other than than - excellent! You

As used in Maldon Delicatessen
Took a while to arrive and looked fairly unimpressive when it did, but it works well on catering sized tins. I hadn't got room for a bench mounted opener and this is a good alternative. Not good on standard tins but good on big tins when you get the hang of it.

Disappointing
Only had this heavy duty tin opener since September and already it isnโt doing the job itโs supposed to do. The opener is struggling to last ch on to the catering tins
