Bought several over the years....wonderfully cosy, light and warm
Needed a new duvet for the spare room and knew immediately which duvet I was going to buy. Over the last few years, i bought one for our bed and then one each for the kids. The duvet feels light when you’re under it but so warm and cosy. It drapes really well around you at night, not leaving any nasty gaps where cold air can sneak in during the night. It’s very rare that we put both sections on together....the 9 tog quilt is generally plenty warm enough for us in winter and the 4.5 tog one is usually used from April / May to Sept / Oct.With regard to the fluff mentioned in some reviews....yes, there is a little bit of lint / fluff visible when you change the quilt cover. However, it is very minor and in my case seems to stay on the quilt. It definitely doesn’t cover the room or the bedding and I have never experienced the need to clean up after changing the beds. As I say, I’ve had several of these quilts in different sizes for a couple of years now and they are wearing very well. Excellent value for money and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.Additional Info: Re cleaning; have taken the duvet to the local dry cleaners and it has cleaned very well with no issues.

... really lightweight duvet which clips together and pulls apart easily to convert to the ideal thickness for each season
A really lightweight duvet which clips together and pulls apart easily to convert to the ideal thickness for each season. The full duvet for winter is really snug and warm - so much so that we were surprised at the difference from our old duvet. It's helps us save on our fuel bills. The only problem, I think, is that the press studs are not quite strong enough and are spaced a bit too widely apart. This means that during a sleepless night it is very easy to accidentally pull them apart and then wake up with the duvet in a lumpy mess inside the cover. For us this only happens occasionally and it would easily be corrected by adding extra studs. However, I feel this is something for Homescapes to consider, rather than the customer, hence the loss of one star.

"O" no, not polyester
I just received my supposed to be top quality hotel grade duvet set, and much to my horror, as it said no wear in the description of the product, but only on the tag of the duvet its self that this is a 100% POLYESTER , bed sweating, body cooking , sweat blanket. I have owned microfiber products in the past and they have never felt or looked anything like the material in this product . They should replace the microfiber part and replace it with the description that is on the tag, 100% polyester, it is very misleading as that is the first thing i look for when buying any product that is going to be in direct contact with my skin. I gave it a 2 star, as the duvet its self is very well made. So yes i am sorry to say, that i will be sending the product straight back.

Sooooooo comfy - Excellent quality
I was looking to update my old duvet and had pretty much decided upon goose down or duck and goose down so search Amazon to get the best deal. It was then that I found out how many people were complaining about the smell of down duvets. It seems more experienced it than didn't so I decided I didn't want to take the chance. That and the g/f saying she didn't want the pointy bit of the feather poking her all the time.So the search was on to find a decent synthetic filled duvet and I came across this one from Home Bargains who claim it was developed by them as an alternative to feather when the bird flu epidemic made hotel chains look for alternative duvet fillings. The reviews were all very good for the product so I took the plunge. It was by no means the cheapest synthetic filled duvet but it is worth every penny. It is the lightest and softest duvet I've ever used yet still keeps you nice and warm (and I'm only using the 9.5tog one without the added 4.5tog).I highly recommend this duvet. If you are looking for an alternative to feather or down but still want quality, I'm sure you will not be disappointed with one of these.

Cosy, Light and Warm
Bought this to replace a goose down duvet that has seen better days. It is cosy, light and warm. I haven't experienced any of the problems that previous reviews state, about fluff and fibre every time the duvet cover is changed. It just shows you have to go with the majority of reviews.I have purchased quite a few items over the last few years from Homescapes and except for the delivery charge, all good.

Warm and cosy but not worth buying due to all the white fluff!!
I bought this duvet set thinking that the fluff couldnt be as bad as some of the reviews said, but it is. Although the duvets are soft, warm and very cosy, the amount of white fluff that come out everytime I have to change the cover is unbelievable, and it just keeps on coming. When I first changed it in my bedroom the carpet was absolutely covered in white fluff. The biggest problem is that the fluff is so small and soft that will not come off my carpet using the dyson, so I had to get on my hands and knees and use parcel wrapping tape to get it off - which took a long time!! I now have to change the duvet in my hall, which has hard floors, so that I can brush all the fluff up afterwards. I only ever use 100% cotton duvet covers in my house, therefore the design fault cannot be blamed on using the wrong type of duvet cover, in fact I actually bought the duvet cover I use from the company that sold me the duvet, just to be on the safe side after the reviews. I didnt bother trying to send the duvet back after the review said the company blamed it on not using 100% cotton sheets.Although it is really soft and a really good duvet, I wouldnt buy this brand again - its not worth all the time I have to spend cleaning up the white fluff everytime I wash the duvet cover!

mmmmmm - snuggly
I've had this duvet a couple of weeks now so have changed the cover several times and, although there is some fluffing coming off it, it's not as bad as some people seem to have experienced. As I have all white bedding and wooden floors it's not going to be a problem for me.But it's soooooooooooooooo snuggly. Lovely and warm.Only slight problem for me is I get RSI from time to time and one of my elbows is bad at the moment. How is this relevant? This is one fairly heavy duvet so changing it is a bit of a wrestling match when you're trying not to take weight on one arm. But, on the plus side, it doesn't "tent" like lighter duvets. It's like an all-night cuddle !!(did i go a bit over the top there ?)
