We use this Solar DC Breaker as a Disconnecting Means per the NEC Code.Our Small ground mount array designs (Petit Arrays) have an output peak at 10 amps at 90 to 130 volts DC.So this Solar DC Circuit Breaker is used in *two* places as a Disconnecting Means.It is used outside the building accessible to emergency personnel per the NEC Code, and also,a second one inside the building as a disconnecting means just above all the Multi-Point-Power-Tracking Solar Charge Controllers.The inside Solar DC Circuit Breaker is used to disconnect the equipment when thunder is heard before a lightning storm (at night especially), or,for a double safety precaution for *both* the outside as well as inside Solar DC Circuit breakers as a power cut for systems servicing.(A small lock is placed on the outside Solar DC Circuit Breaker Enclosure box to prevent inadvertent energizing during servicing, and the servicing electrician holds that lock key).So this Solar DC Circuit Breaker is a very good value.Each ground array, therefore, per NEC Code, does require two of them, one for outside accessible to emergency personnel, and another near the equipment inside the building.Do pay strict comparative attention to the various specifications the equipment requires for the breaker capacities.Dan Petit/Petit Technical College

I added this to my solar cart so I can switch it off rather than unplugging it. Easy to install as it snaps on rail.

I'm using this a breaker and disconnect for an 800 watt solar system. It works well, I've used the disconnect several times, but never under heavy load. I've never tripped the breaker, nor tested it. The only concern I have is the way the breaker locks onto the included rail. It locks well so it doesn't come off vertically, but it is still very easy to slide horizontally and will come right off the rail unless you do something to stop it. That's the reason for the 4 star rating.

Comes with the din rail and screws. Very easy and efficient install.Utilized dc breaker for over current protection of charge controller on a diy solar/battery project.

Funciona bien

The breakers seem good and solidly built with a good long din rail that'll fit three breakers. The only negative is the included ferrells — they use a unique type which doesn't work on other breakers, while i like the idea of these ferrells the included ones are for thinner gauges, nothing close to the 6 gauge i needed for solar.
