I continue to buy this type of miso, same brand, because the quality is fine, it's tasty and versatile as I use it in many recipes that I make up as I go along: burgers, sauces, gluten free flat breads made from legumes, in sandwiches, stir fries. Buy it, you won't regret it. I love it.

Delicious miso at a reasonable price. It is quite a bit saltier than other miso brands I've bought (and I love salty food), and - as another reviewer has noted - it could be finer, because it leaves undissolved granules at the bottom of the cup. But, on balance, still excellent miso.

It's not only miso soup
It's amazing nowadays to purchase this genuine Japanese miso paste easily via Amazon. I'm using this for making an oriental salad and goulash sauce mixing with tomato ketchup. The miso paste is fermented so it gives a rich taste.

I liked the taste, adding a spoon to a Yutaka seaweed soup. A bit too salty and for this reason I could not add soy sauce to my soup. A jar well kept in a fridge and will last about a month for me. The paste texture could be finer to my taste.
