They Fit the Bill. Sturdy Mechanism. Would buy again
These are strong. Tied down a couple cars with them not long after getting and they will take a lot of pulling without giving way like the cheaper straps tend to do. No give whatsoever. I'm Happy.

I wouldnt object to the ratchet mechanism being even little heavier gauge steel. Its strong enough when I tried it, but personally like things that are obviously heavier duty than they have to be. Just hint, might want to keep the ratchet mechanism lightly oiled (metal parts), especially if you detect any hint of binding when tightening or loosening. The plastic handholds on the ratchet do make it more comfortable than some I have used that were bare metal, to adjust and tighten. The strap itself seems fine and doesnt look like it will fray any time soon. But I dont know that as I have had limited experience with these straps. Depends lot on frequency of use and what you are using it to bind. But all straps like this eventually fray. I will say if you have no experience with this kind strap you might want to go look at straps available locally in person so you have something to judge by. Also ask any friends you have that use this kind strap regularly.
