Works Great
There are some neg reviews I read. The reason it doesn't bond is = lack of heat. You need a high temp torch to heat the object being welded. I use a acetylene and oxygen torch to weld the rods. Its used for brazing. Works great. To use these rods you need the proper torch. May be it should be posted on the page?

Good for Tig not a propane torch
I picked these rods up for a grille I needed to repair and didn't want to go buy gas for my Tig welder. I tried the grille with the propane torch, and it failed miserably. I also tried a few other things and none of them worked. Eventually I picked up some gas and these make great filler rods for Tig. Why the one star review? I purchased these for propane torch use. If I'd wanted Tig filler I would have just bought that.

use propane.
I tried to use this rod electric it did not work out well. However it works good to go using a propane torch.

So so
These behave like they have a disproportionate amount of one or more of the alloy metals in them. Perhaps I’m getting them too hot but they tend to fume and oxidize while being heated. For my money the harbor fright versions of this similar product are better.

These rods do not want to melt or bond very well for me.
Trying to use these to seal the rivets on my aluminum jon boat. I melted a hole in the boat trying to use these. The Alumiweld Rods from Harbor Freight are amazing though. They're more expensive but the Alumiweld Rods are crazy easy to use, I have yet to get these rods to work for me. I'm using propane with the torch you get with the map gas from Lowes. If I get these to work I'll update. The picture is one I did with the Alumiweld Rods and then one I tried to do with these rods but melted a hole, got a little pissed and just slapped some JB Weld on there.
