Johnstone's Woodcare Outdoor Yacht Varnish: A Garden Table Transformation!
I recently used Johnstone's Woodcare Outdoor Yacht Varnish on my garden table, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results. This varnish is not just good; it's outstanding! One of the standout features of this product is its thickness. It goes on smoothly and provides excellent coverage, even on older wood surfaces. The transformation it brought to my weathered garden table was remarkable. The varnish not only protected the wood but also enhanced its natural beauty, leaving it with a glossy and rejuvenated finish. Durability is key when it comes to outdoor woodcare, and Johnstone's Yacht Varnish delivers on this front. My table has been exposed to various weather conditions, and this varnish has proven to be resilient, keeping the wood protected and looking great season after season. Application was a breeze thanks to the clear instructions provided, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced DIY enthusiasts. The 750ml size was more than enough for my project, offering great value for the quality it delivers. In short, Johnstone's Woodcare Outdoor Yacht Varnish is a game-changer for anyone looking to protect and beautify their outdoor wooden furniture. It's a five-star product that not only met but exceeded my expectations. My garden table looks better than ever, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Highly recommended!

good, but not ideal for varnishing over white
do not use on white painted wood, it will discolour it. That said, if you were using on any other colour or on natural wood it would be brilliant. it has a purple colour to it when applying and dries 'clear' although has a creamy tint when on white wood. I was able to re paint over the varnish. A little goes a long way and spread nicely. not too sticky. touch dry after 2 days

Does the Job but Hard Work to Apply
This varnish gives a good strong finish and protects wood well but it takes ages to dry. It is quite thick and not easy to spread evenly. Cleaning brushes after use is almost impossible. Works fine once on but needs patience to apply.

How to close down the lid after use.
The product directions for use and aftercare are very accurate. I am pleased with the appearance after two coats. My question is, how do I get the lid to seal down after use? All attempts to push down the lid have failed. Could the air trapped inside the can be the problem?
