Schaum's Outline of Advanced Mathematics for Engineers and Scientists (Schaum's Outline Series)

My tutor recommended this book to me (for OU MSc maths course, Complex analysis) and it is just what I need. Loads of worked examples and exercises, which complement the course notes very well. Also, the pages are off-white and much easier to read than the very white pages of the set text, so excelent for people like myself with sight problems. Great value for money.

Mathematics is a vital tool for engineers but it is a language and most instinctive engineers are not linguists so having the syntax and semantics presented in a succinct and unambiguous way makes this an ideal undergraduate maths book for engineers.

Excellent reference book , shames about the paper it is made from

Despite being some 45 years old this wide-ranging book remains an indispensable part in my view of any science or engineering student's bookshelf as a complement to any mathematical methods textbook one's lecturer has recommended. Not only that it is phenomenally good value for money , even compared to more detailed single topic Schaum outlines such as "vector analysis".

this book is extremely useful and i really like the paper. the solved problems are very helpful although i must worn whoever is not used to this publisher these are in black and white, very dense with minimal diagrams, explanations are very technical (more concise) but the content is there and very helpful.

Embarking on an MSc program late in life, my maths skills were somewhat rusty. The engineering part of my course requires Fourier Transforms, Laplace transforms and matrix manipulation. Although most of the work is done by computers, it is important to understand the basics and this book certainly helps with that.

As is usual with the Schaum series there are myriad worked examples and unworked examples for the student to try Answers are supplied. The theory is clearly written and comprehensibele. Well recommended.

マグロウヒルの応用数学の演習書であり、多くの例題が含まれていて、価格がとても安い。 日本では、ライプニッツの積分則（定積分を微分したものの変換）を記載しているものが少ない。 しかし、本書では、例題を含めて収録されている。 このような、大切な定理は、日本の初級の数学書でも収録してもらえるとありがたいのだが。

This book is not overload and it makes it easier to understand the material. Hence, if anyone want to get a little bit of knowledge in advanced calculus, I warmly recommend this one instead of the advanced calculus book that I thought a little bit overload.

Toda la serie Schaum, en especial los Murray Spiegel, son ideales para estudiar por el espíritu didáctico de los libros. Recomendable para cualquier tipo de alumno, en especial el que se sienta atascado.
