easy to install, nearly impossible to open
Decent pass-through door cover for hero 8. USB cable fits perfectly. Very easy to install, but it is extremely tough to remove. It locks into place. I can fit my fingernails into the side to pull it open, but the force required to open it feels like my fingernails are going to be ripped off! I have to grab a flathead screwdriver to pry it open.I haven't tested water proof abilities, but the usb is exposed...there's no way it's completely waterproof with the usb exposed. (but that's kinda the point of a pass-through door, right?)

Works great, better than the original
Much easier to open / close than the normal cover that comes with the normal GoPro. You can also connect it to your usb to charge or download your videos without having to open it.Since the USB is exposed, you probably shouldn't use this while underwater, but I think you're supposed to use the clear protective case for underwater anyway, so no problem there either.

Does what it’s designed to do, but…
The door is hard to open, in fact, I have to use a knife or a tool to pry it open to get to the battery of my hero8.

Not happy that this item never showed up. I received the water proof case, but not the door.

Works but very hard to remove and non-latching
The good? Cheap replacement and has a pass-thru hole so you can charge/plug in USB without opening. The bad? its not latching/swing to open. You have use a flat screwdriver or similar to get it off. Fine at home...not good when on road and you need to replace the battery on the go. Worse? Last time I went to remove it with a screwdriver, it cracked. Have to buy another now.
