The marimekko print is vibrant and crisp, really makes the cosmetic pouch stand out. The pouch isn't padded in anyway, but is lined with a solid white lining. The zipper is thick and durable, moves smoothly. The quality is great, there aren't any skipped stitches or rips. In all honesty, you're paying for the brand here. Not that it's not worth the price, the print alone makes it worth the price. Just very happy that the quality overall matches the print quality. I'd buy it again, I'm eyeing the large pouch too to hold toiletries. But this medium size is perfect to use as my daily carryall for my makeup and other nick snacks I might think I need. Could make a great pencil/marker case for an art student too. I work in design, and using this to hold my drawing tools has crossed my mind.

First the positives: It has a nice handmade sort of smell, crisp fabric, impeccably made in the EU. I’m familiar with Marimekko as a brand through my interest in Japanese stationary, I can understand why the brand is popular with that crowd, it’s bright design and cheerful graphics will look very cute with my hobonichi. It’s very roomy and can accommodate ALOT of pens.The negatives: the price is high but considering that it’s made in the EU I’d be willing to overlook it. That being said, it doesn’t come with any kind of gift box or bag, it arrives in a standard kind of clear packaging bag a lot of amazon items come in, very underwhelming for a luxury price tag. It’s also not at all structured, you can scrunch it up into your palm if you wanted to, which I think is a bit weird for a cosmetics pouch. I’d hope there’d be at least be some reinforcement on the bottom, it couldn’t have added that much to the material/construction cost.Overall it’s a very cute bag at an inaccessible price point for most people, I’d be very paranoid about putting makeup inside lest it get dirty. I like it but at the price point at least send it out in a matching marimekko print box or something, geez.

I am a big fan of marimekko, and this little cosmetic bag is the perfect addition to my collection. While it is pricey, it is in line with the brand name.The bag itself is vibrant and compact. Perfect for travel. My only complaint is that there is only one compartment, and no real way of organization build into it. I would have loved to have a inside pocket for smaller items. The inside is also lined in white, which may be problematic with makeup spillage.I haven't decided if I will continue to use this as makeup pouch or choose to use it as a fashionable pencil pouch for work.

It is a beautiful bag - and with its color scheme, it is not exactly a shrinking violet. This bag really stands out. Its a beautiful mixture of red, orange, and hot pink in the signature Marimekko floral pattern, in a well-constructed product. The outside is a durable cotton, while the inside is lined with a white nylon. It's really not the best for cosmetics, which are prone to spill. I can fit all of my cosmetics in there, though I don't use too much makeup.At time of review, this bag was selling for $66. If you are a true Marimekko fan, this may be worth it to you. For the average person looking for a cosmetic bag, this may feel incredibly overpriced.

The fabric feels high quality, and I really like how vibrant the print is! It seemed pretty small when I first opened it. But once I started adding in all of the loose items from my purse, I realized you can fit quite a lot in there.

My wife is a huge fan of MARIMEKKO. She is Finnish and she and her sisters are all crazy for the brand. I have to admit that $70 for a small makeup bag seems a little insane.
